Cannot recommend enough - as a solo traveller and my first time in Cuba, Leo made sure to give me tips on everything from getting around to money/water etc. I was there during a national power outage and he still messaged after I left to check I was ok and to offer help.

Casa Colonial Abogados Leonardo y Angela is such a wonderfull place. Located just 5min walk from Malecón in old Havana is perfect place to explore the city. You can feel the spirit of the city sighting on the balcony and enjoying the view of life going on the street below. Each of popular places is in walking distance from the hostel. What is even more important the owners are most helpful people I’ve met in Cuba. They helped me basically with everything, money, taxis planing the trip etc. They will recommend to places where to eat as well and these places are really worth visiting if you want to eat in real Cuban restaurant for affordable money. Room was clean, AC was really good, same as WIFI. Breakfast is pretty big and tasty. You can eat on the balcony or inside reading the book about the old cars which you can see later in the streets. 10/10 I really recommend it. Best place in Havana

What a wonderful warm welcome to Havana we received from Leo and Angela. Their casa is a truly beautiful 1st floor apartment in one of the spacious and airy colonial-style buildings right in the centre, with a shady balcony providing the perfect spot from which to observe life in the busy street below. The breakfasts were hearty and delicious. Leo is a lovely generous man, never without a beaming smile. At the end of our stay with his family, he was kind enough to give us a lift to our next destination in his own car, and wouldn't even take any cash contribution for fuel. I would heartily recommend Casa Colonial Abogados Leonardo y Angela.

Superb stay
Leonardo and Angela helped is so much throughout the trip with useful tips, arranging the transport to other cities, and their house is great, we hope to come back one day! Also, it was so interesting to chat with them, very kind and hospitable hosts. Despite the look of the area around the house, we never really feel unsafe walking with our valuables and camera at night. Havana is amazing!

Stayed here for 5 nights of our 2 week holiday in Cuba. It was for us a fantastic opportunity to see the real lives of many Cuban People and we couldn't have chosen a better Casa. Leonardo and Angela are a professional couple (solicitors) and they gave us a fantastic welcome, Leonardo gives you all the advice he can to make your stay amazing. The balcony was a great place to meet other people and we shared some late nights and a drink with other couples from all over the world. Central Havana is a great place to stay with everything walkable but be prepared it is a culture shock, this is real Havana with real people struggling to survive, and it feels very unsafe at first but you soon feel at ease. There were two great restaurants within 200 meters. The rooms were large and the beds comfortable, the apartment was an oasis out of the hustle and bustle of street life and to look down on what was going on was an experience in itself. Havana was a great experience I will never forget and Leos balcony was my favorite place. If you want everything to be perfect then perhaps Cuba is not for you, but if you want to experience life and meet wonderful people Cuba is great and there is no better place to stay than at the Casa Colonial, if I could give it 6 stars I would.

Leonardo has been very welcoming. I really loved the balconey where we took our breakfasts. It also gave me the opportunity to meet other travelers. The room was clean, towels changed at my convenience. If I have one remark to make, it’s about the breakfast itself. Don’t expect more than a few toasts, fruits, butter. There was never eggs, cheese, etc ( which are very hard to find in Cuba right now). But the coffee was good. And no real possibility to cook some lunch, as the description said (kitchen available, kitchenette or something around those words) This was a little disappointing for me since I was staying 18 days at their place, I would have loved to cook my own food, instead of always going to the restaurant. I’m just saying this because I feel the description was a little misleading. Other than that, all the family and staff were very nice.

Eine Unterkunft, in der ich sofort wieder absteige
Die Unterkunft liegt sehr zentral. Der Parque Central, die Plaza Vieja und auch der Malecón sind gut zu Fuss erreichbar. Angela und Leo sind sehr nette Gastgeber. Mein Frühstück, frische Früchte, Brot, Käse, frischen Fruchtsaft und Kaffee, fand ich genial. Mein Zimmer wurde alle zwei Tage gereinigt. Im Kühlschrank hatte es immer Wasser und Bier. Leo hat mir ein Taxi zur Abholung zum Flughafen geschickt und auch das Taxi colectivo zur Weiterfahrt organisiert. Ich konnte mich für Ausflüge, auch mit einem Oldtimer, an ihn wenden. Ich kann diese Unterkunft jedem wärmstens weiter empfehlen.
