Hilton Garden Inn in Hattiesburg is the most unsanitary hotel I've ever stayed in! The room that my family shared was not cleaned prior to our stay to the point that we were unable to take showers because the shower looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in weeks, the floors were dirty, there even was dirt and water damage on the ceilings and walls. The phones don't work due to the hotel is undergoing renovations, in which after my stay I was told the fourth floor is fully renovated but my family was placed on a floor that isn't. The ice maker didn't work and neither did a heating unit in one of our rooms which we had to use one unit to try to heat up the suite we stayed in. I would not recommend staying at this property or to utilize this property if ever staying in Hattiesburg Mississippi. This is the ABSOLUTE WORST property I have ever stayed at! The hotel claims that the fourth floor is renovated but place guests in non renovated rooms

The room was not properly cleaned. There was mold and mildew throughout the room. The curtains, walls, and ceilings had either mold or water damage. There was hair on the sink/vanity area, in the shower, and on the bedding. The price I paid was way too high for this. It seemed all the local hotels were price gauging due to a local event. If I would’ve booked directly with Hilton, I would’ve requested a refund. Period.
We would not book this location again. The pricing does not match the dated and damaged interior rooms, dingy bedding/duvets. Did not feel at all like a Hilton property. Positive note - check in was friendly and fast.
The room smelled very musty and it did not have shampoo or soap. The p.m. staff seemed pretty unorganized, but the a.m. staff was much more put together. There also old food in the refrigerator in the room. They are remodeling which accounts for the noise, but it would be helpful to know ahead of time that the property was undergoing a facelift!
The hotel was under construction, even though the website didn't warn me of that. Even after the construction, the "new" areas were still in poor condition. The hot tub was broken the entire stay. The room was extremely dated, with a very old and non-smart TV. Not what I have come to consider a Hilton Garden Inn. Will not stay here again, and most likely will avoid Hilton Garden Inn moving forward.

The hotel is being renovated which I understand but my room had dirty floors and caulking stuck to the floor and there was paint all over the furniture. The bathrooms were clean and the bed comfy.
