Person working front desk was not able to see our booking. Sent us next door to different hotel saying they are owned by same person. Said they sometimes get mixed up, even after I showed them the confirmation email. I went next door, that person was very helpful by calling the owner directly. The owner found the booking and called the 1st person. Then, the booking was found, but showed canceled. I believe the 1st person canceled it, but can not prove it. I was instructed that I would have to call Expedia for the refund, and would have to pay for a room again. Its now after midnight, so I don't want to go elsewhere. After 27 minutes on hold, a refund was finally granted. It took 1.5 hours to get settled into the room and the call completed. After driving 10 hours, expecting to get 8 hours sleep, this issue reduced our sleep time to 6 hours or less because now I can't sleep due to the frustration!!!
