The apartment is well presented, however, several niggles came to light during our stay. The apartment deco is neutral but has suffered lots of scuff marks to walls in all living spaces and would benefit from a fresh lick of paint. Most of the furniture is tired and needs replacement, such as the sofa (has lost its shape and support), dining table is wrong size for location and the vinyl coverings to the chairs have started split on the seating and back areas. Worst of all is the main king size bed - mattresses were soft and boney and now passed any level of comfort - in particular I had a poor nights sleep during our 4x night stay. The apartment heating system needs attention - not an important element in the summer but in early November, the temperature drops outside and requires the apartment to have a functioning heating system. When we arrived at the apartment the internal temperature was 16 deg c and gradually got warmer through the use of oil radiators which the owner had placed in the apartment. A plumber came out to inspect the underfloor heating but found the heating manifold to be off and not functioning. We also found dirty kitchen utensils when we started to cook a meal and the combined oven/grill installed would benefit from a grill pan. This apartment would be stunning with some attention to these details and be well worth the £165/night premium we paid to stay. Location to Harrogate shops and centre is excellent, with just a short 5 minute walk away.
