One of 5 Artists’ Cottages. Central Location. Great for business or holiday breaks. Superb C19th cottage combines antique looks with modern comforts and amenities. Short walk to HCC, close to local shops. Refurbished to exacting standards. Free Wi-FI, USB, Smart TV. Log burner. Super luxury kitchen. Spacious walk in shower room. Upstairs small Jack and Jill shower room and two glamorous comfortable bedrooms. Free Parking,2 small pets. (Extra charge) Steep stairs sleeps 3/4 in 2/3 beds

The property is designed with both the business and leisure guest in mind. Your comfort is paramount. The sitting room is equipped with modern comfortable seating for up to 5 guests. There is a log burning stove, Bluetooth speakers and SMART TV, as well as a record player. There is on free on street unrestricted parking around the property. The superb kitchen/diner is well equipped for cooks, Miele pyrolitic oven, Neff induction hob, Krups Nespresso machine and frother, and seats 4. High chair and travel cot available on request, we make no charge but guests need to bring their own bedding for the cot).

We accept up to 2 small pets with prior notice - ( extra charges apply). (To be caged- please note pets are not permitted upstairs or on furniture). Please provide bedding,cages dishes and utensils for pets. Please note: Pets must not be left unattended.

There is an enclosed patio with BBQ Chiminea and seating for 4 (summer months only).
We are called Artists’ Cottages because the whole concept is one of design led comfort, reflecting the period of the property with the needs of the 21st century traveller. Hence colourful kitchen with great equipment including DeLonghi small appliances etc..
Separate laundry area - washer/dryer iron and ironing board. The wall hangings by local artists have been chosen to compliment the interior and are available to purchase from the artists with no commission. Our soft furnishings are hand done and bespoke.
We can provide single beds in the master bedroom upon request.

NOTE: The cottage is 19th century with the original narrow steep staircase and with shorter treads so is unsuited to toddlers or infirm. Stair gates cannot be attached.
There are 3 other Artists’ Cottages in close proximity.

Artists Cottages are working in conjunction with FitChef Harrogate. For that special occasion why not have our chef cook for you at Artists’ Place? Please enquire at time of booking.

Property sleeps a maximum of 4 guests - master bedroom can be made up as singles or king.

Guests have sole access to whole cottage and the enclosed patio.

We are locals so know the area well and live close bye so we are available in case of any concerns and are always on hand to answer questions and respond to requests. We meet and greet guests whenever possible when they arrive at the property and can give a brief tour of the locale if necessary.

The cottage is located in a quiet friendly residential area in central Harrogate, 8 minutes walk from Harrogate Convention Centre. There’s a pedestrian short cut. Local shops on Kings Road just around the corner, sell groceries and there are good independent coffee shops, unusual local shops and food shops as well as supermarkets. Asda, Co-Op and Local Sainsburys are all a short walk. It's a great location for exploring the Dales, Yorkshire or as a stopover between north and south. We are located midway between Scotland and London. There is a regular fast train service between London Kings Cross and Harrogate Station

There's a good network of buses running close to the property going in and out of the town centre and to Skipton or Ripon. Local taxis are relatively cheap and reliable. The station is a short walk, but with heavy bags you may prefer a taxi. There is a pedestrian way into the town centre from the bottom of the street. The Yorkshire Showground/Event Centre is within easy distance. There’s a regular direct train service from London Kings Cross.

We leave the heating on permanently so you never come to a cold house. The neighbours are friendly and welcoming. So we ask guests to be respectful.
Maximum of 2 small Pets only by prior arrangement and on payment of a fee. Pets are not permitted on the furniture or in bedrooms, Pets to be caged overnight and not left unattended at any time unless agreed in advance with the owners. Pets owners to provide bed, utensils and dishes for their pets- under no circumstances should our utensils or dishes be used for pets. Any fouling to be immediately cleaned.
Strictly no smoking, no vaping on or near the premises. No candles. Failure to comply will result in you being billed for replacement of all soft furnishings, sofa, chairs etc.
Smoke free zone so only use kiln dried wood - council can impose on the spot fines £1000.
Please note the stairs are steep and there is no hand rail at the top - therefore unsuited to toddlers or anyone with mobility issues. Make sure to use the handrails and exercise care.
Stair gates cannot be fitted.
Do not launder any towels or linens- we can provide extras at a small charge. If you launder our linens Our laundry will charge full replacement costs and we will pass this charge on to you.
Ensure all doors and windows are secure whenever the property is unattended.
The charging of electric vehicles or bikes is expressly prohibited.
Ensure all chargers for computers, phones are unplugged whenever the property is unattended.
During your stay at this cottage, you're just a quick walk from Harlow Carr Botanical Gardens. The cottage includes amenities such as a kitchen and 3 bathrooms.

Lovely little place, small and cozy with a perfect location. The owner was extremely responsive and assisted quickly when we had an issue. Perfect place for our stay.

Not right for us.
Not ideal for us. The Jack and Gill bathroom did not give enough privacy. The sliding doors had gaps, which could be seen through. Not ideal when using a bathroom.
