A little further afield is the spa town of Harrogate with its Turkish baths, Georgian theatre and enough shops to satisfy the most avid shopaholics. Visit the Royal Horticultural Society Garden Harlow Carr, or National Trust properties such as Fountains Abbey, Studley Royal and the amazing Brimham Rocks.
