We got the one bedroom suite. Bathroom was in bad condition due to poor design (water splashes out of the shower area because there is no door) and no ventilation. Room was very dusty, like it hasn’t been properly cleaned in many months. Staff was nice but I’d stay elsewhere next time.

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful hotel. The rooms were so clean. The lobby is beautiful! We walked into town and ate and drank at a few establishments and had so much fun!

This hotel was an absolute gem. I would highly recommend to anyone. Everyone was friendly , rooms were immaculate , I cannot say enough positive things about this hotel.

We use the Madison on a regular basis. The staff is always nice but the hotel is showing its need for an upgrade. The carpet has not been changed and the per floor well is not always clean. The bathrooms while the for the most part is clean you will notice the walls and around the floor show the need of a good cleaning. The restaurant has been upgraded and the food is good. The insight coffee shop is helpful for a quick start to your morning. It’s one of our go to spots and will be at least for another year.

This property is very clean and a prime location on the JMU campus. The staff we encountered were all very friendly, helpful and kind. We will definitely be staying at Hotel Madison whenever we visit JMU.

It smelled of perfume from the moment you entered the front door. It was hard to breathe The room stunk just as bad and the bathroom was mildew and mold stink Very dusty room the lamp shades the light switches all dusty and dirty The smell was horrendous and didn’t cover the moldy bathroom smells You can see the black mold around the tub and the shower curtain was disgusting and mildewed. Don’t stay here
