This is a great small hotel. Great breakfast and very clean. It would be nice to know there is no air conditioning. They provided a fan and I was comfortable, even in July.

So incredibly clean and comfortable. It felt like being at home with all the conveniences thought of and included. Really lovely hotel that I would recommend with no reservations. Wish there was one like this in every city!

Time warp, but in a good way!
A great stay in this family run hotel. The double ensuite room, in an adjoining building, was very large and had little extras such as a fleece covered hot water bottle (not needed in July) a card in the wardrobe showing 3 ways to knot a neck tie, and fruit on a china plate with a sharp knife. A selection of teas etc were provided too. The bedding was great but I had paid for and was looking forward to a double bed but got 2 singles pushed together, which is not as comfortable. The mostly residential street appeared quiet but I was disturbed by traffic and pedestrian noise and street cleaning. ( but I live in a rural area and had the windows open too). There are a couple of restaurants close by but its only a few minutes walk to the shops and eateries in Lister Miele. In the opposite direction is the main railway station and the hotel has a car to drop you off on request. The staff were friendly and helpful and happy to store my case after checkout. Old fashioned values not ofen seen these days. I would stay again.

The hotel Alpha is ok, there was a friendly welcome when I arrived and the room was clean. The reception is actually in one build3 and the hotel rooms are in another building a few doors down the road. It seemed to me like one of those big town apartment blocks that at some point has been converted to a hotel. It's 10 minutes walk from the main station and in a decent area with lots of cafes and restaurants. The room was clean, a comfortable single bed and little touches like complimentary chocolate, fruit and water on arrival. The only thing I would say about the hotel is it really needs some updating. It looks very dated but not in a nice characterful way, in a desperate need of a refurbishment sort of way. It reminded me of a very dated alpine chalet, glazed brown tiles on the bathroom floor, beige sink & toilet, and lots of faded pictures and artificial flowers. Don't get me wrong, the hotel was fine for the price, just don't stay here if you like your mod-cons and you room to look like it's been decorated in the last 40 years.

Very nice hotel in an even better location. Train station is minutes away. Only thing is there were no elevators in the building. Not a problem for me as i was traveling light, but visitors with heavy luggage may find it difficult.

Very nice hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was a nice size and clean. Hotel was close to the train station. Because of the good weather, the room was a little warm and there is no air conditioning. We left the windows open but it was very noisy from the street.

Excellent friendly hotel
10 minutes walk from central station. Hotel & rooms very clean and a good size. Lots of nice extras in bedroom and bathroom. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Very good choice for breakfast, including hot food. Some road noise in room. Stairs to 1st floor Then lift to second. I would recommend this hotel.

Fine location, great breakfast and super service
This is a cosy hotel, located centrally. The room is normal size, the bathroom OK (but shower compartment). A very convenient garage facility is available, and the service was super, with a great effort to be welcoming. The breakfast was really good.
