Hostel

Its seams like a hostel. No relationship between price and confort. (Dont have shampoo/aconditioner)

Weekend trip

Hotel was used as a base to visit Glasgow + Hamilton and watch my son play a cup final at Stenhousemuir FC. The hotel receptionist was very polite and friendly. Room was very clean and spacious with a nice view of the lake. The local area was nice so we enjoyed our trip and to top it off my son won the cup final.

Not happy

Booked my hotel on line and paid in advance for two nights(not refundable) When I arrived the girl on the reception said there was no booking on her system she phoned her helpline and after approximately two hours I finally got my room which I must say was only by chance as she said in her own words we had taken this room out of service due to the fire alarm problem which had now been fixed. To top my experience today I have a parking fine of £90 which I was told at the reception that if I was staying in the hotel parking was free

Brilliant For What It Is

I went to this roadside motel expecting a good night's sleep at a reasonable price and I wasn't disappointed. The girl on reception was nice and the man the following morning was too. Admittedly they had lost our room key and didn't realise until we turned up after midnight so we were stood in the lobby a lot longer than we would have liked to be but this was the only problem and the girls was very apologetic and did eventually sort us with a new key. The room was perfectly clean, it certainly wasn't the prettiest room I've ever stayed in but the bed was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean, the shower was a nice hot powerful jet and there were clean towels and teas and coffees. We'd asked for a cot which was made up nicely ready for us when we got there (you'd be surprised how many places bring the cot up when you arrive - all you need with a sleeping baby in your arms! This is actually the 1st place we've ever stayed which had the room ready, and it was half the price we normally expect to pay!) Overall it was absolutely fine, good value for money, really easy to get to and I will definitely be staying here again.
