This hotel used to be my favorite place to stay—until my experience yesterday. I arrived at 7:00 PM only to be told my reservation had been cancelled. I was informed that my credit card had been declined, which simply wasn’t true. On my way out, I contacted my credit card company, who confirmed that the charge was approved at 11:00 AM—and that the hotel itself reversed the charge at 5:00 PM.
At no point during the day did I receive an email, phone call, or text message notifying me of an issue with my reservation. As a result, I had no room, no explanation, and had to drive three hours home from 8:00 to 11:00 PM—exhausted and incredibly frustrated.
I was not only inconvenienced but also misled. I believe I’m owed a sincere apology and a complimentary night’s stay to make up for the way this was handled. I hope you’ll take this opportunity to make things right.
