This is a pretty average hotel, fine for a night or two. The location is okay but not great - it’s only one train stop away from Hamamatsu station, but then a 10-15 minute walk to the hotel which feels far when you have luggage. The area itself doesn’t have too much for visitors, though there is a convenience store and a few restaurants nearby (not a lot of English is spoken though). The staff at the hotel do speak English and were very pleasant.
The room was decent though fairly small, with small double bed and a chair and table. It was enough room for two of us for a night but would feel a little cramped for a longer stay. It was clean and comfortable though, and there was a little road noise at night but not enough to keep us awake. The bed was a bit firm, even for Japan, but not too uncomfortable.
A big plus for this hotel is the onsen, located on the main floor. It’s fairly small, with only one medium-sized indoor pool, but it was a relaxing place to go soak after a long day.
The free breakfast buffet was modest but good, mostly Japanese items and a few “Western” options. There are laundry facilities, both in the onsen changing rooms as well as off the hotel lobby.
