Seaside Retreat near Surfers Beach NEWLY REMODELED

Seaside Retreat is located in a quiet neighborhood just a 10-minute walk to Surfer's Beach and the Coastal Trail, walking distance to Sam's Chowder House and Princeton Harbor, a short drive to the famous Mavericks surf break, and just 4 miles to historic Half Moon Bay. It's the perfect base for enjoying the Coastside and the Bay Area, situated 40 minutes south of San Francisco and an hour north of San Jose. Decorated with a seaside theme, you’ll love our place because of how light and peaceful it feels.

Travelers visiting Seaside Retreat will have access to a completely private, self-contained ground-floor unit of a duplex. Two bedrooms have very comfortable beds (one room has a king bed and the other has a queen), luxury bedding, and quiet sitting areas. Relax after a day at the beach or sightseeing in the cozy living room with a flat-screen TV.
The kitchen island is a great spot to check your email or surf the web. Alternatively, there is a portable desk that can be set up anywhere in the unit for work-at-home-away-from-home comfort. Wifi and basic office amenities are provided. Printer can be provided upon request.
The kitchen is bright, spacious, and fully equipped for preparing a simple snack or a gourmet meal. The dining area is adjacent to the kitchen and easily accommodates 6 people. Books about the area, local magazines, and card and board games are provided for your enjoyment. The living room opens onto a deck to enjoy morning coffee or an afternoon glass of wine. The backyard offers a ping pong table and a spacious brick patio with outdoor dining and grill available.
By prior arrangement with the owner, travelers can have access to a washer and dryer located in the garage area. The host occupies the upper unit of the duplex and is very accessible for questions and assistance as needed.

El Granada is a small beach community located just north of Half Moon Bay. Seaside Retreat is located within walking distance of Surfers Beach, the Coastal Trail, and Quarry Park with hiking trails leading up into the hills with fabulous views of the harbor and ocean. Nearby are a variety of restaurants including Italian, seafood, Indian, tapas, Sam's Seafood Restaurant, Hop Dogma Pub, Ocean Ciders, and the Half Moon Bay Brewing Company. Fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, golfing, surfing, whale watching, biking, hiking, wine tasting, shopping, an elephant seal sanctuary, redwood groves, and even scenic flights from the local airport are all just minutes away. After a day of fresh air and activity, you can find several local spas offering a variety of treatments to help you relax.

It is a short drive to historic Half Moon Bay with its friendly Main Street lined with shops, cafes, and restaurants. Further down the coast, you will find the Ritz Carlton Hotel for a luxury cocktail or dinner.

There is a local bus that has limited service with a stop just around the corner from Seaside Retreat, however, for the greatest flexibility, Seaside Retreat is best reached by private car. In addition, there are Uber drivers and local tax services available. There is off-street parking available for one vehicle and plenty of street parking as well.
