Wonderful staff! They have a nice dog. Made some wonderful friends at this place. It was an amazing experience considering the price. Shared dorm was quiet and just enough for anyone on a budget. Highly recommend unless you need a lot more space for your stuff.
Foo was an amazing host, I had a great time each night I was there. The atmosphere was very welcoming and cozy, the onsen onsite was very relaxing after a long day of walking.
The mat of the tatami is very dirty.
Although the quilt cover is clean, the quilt is very dirty. There is a lot of dust in the room. It's very uncomfortable to live in it.
Host was communicative and willing to help. Host went out of his way to fulfill one of my requests. I enjoyed my stay. Would recommend to others who wish to stay at a hostel/guest house instead of a hotel. Facilities were clean.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Nice guest house surrounded by nature and friendly staff. It’s a bit uphill, but accessible, about 10 minutes walk from Miyanoshita onsen bus stop ( 15 minutes from Kowakudani train station)
We got a family room which was big japanese room with futons and a table. The host gave us some board games which kids played while we were there. There is a private onsen and shower and toilet which are shared by guests. There is a cafe/bar onsite which we did not use but looked good. Completely tea is available at the property. For parking we had to pay 500 yen per day. The host is japanese and can speak English fluently. He guided us with places we could see nearby. I felt it was a nice place and pretty cheap too. Kids went to onsen multiple times and enjoyed it a lot. The location is also very near to hakone open air museum.
