The Wing was originally created in 1911 as a Drawing Room and Library for the main house, but has been a self-contained ground floor apartment for many years. It is a series of large interconnecting rooms and spaces, with yellow walls, parquet floors, domed ceilings and diamond paned windows, and because of this configuration is especially suitable for families, particularly parents with children. The accommodation includes:
A large double bedroom furnished with a 5’ (1.5 m) king-size double bed and duvet.
A large comfortable TV and sitting area with sofas and armchairs around a fireplace with a wood-burning stove.
The Wing also has a 4’ (1.2 m) wall mounted fold down double bed, and two single beds.
An alcove dining area with a table that will accommodate 6 people. If you are renting another Pekes house, we can provide a second matching table and chairs, allowing a dining facility for up to 12 people.
A small fully equipped kitchen, with electric cooker, microwave, fridge freezer, washing machine, and tumble dryer.
There is also a bathroom with bath, electric shower and basin, and a separate WC.
The Wing is approached through its own colonnade garden with outside sitting areas. Guests can also use the heated indoor swimming pool, Jacuzzi and tennis court and wander round the extensive gardens and park.
