Welcome to our beach house “As Good As it Gets” with its one and a half minute walk to the beach! When staying at this charming 3 bedroom / 2 bathroom home in Fort Morgan you are swept away by its tranquil setting. Enjoy being away from the crowds and immerse yourself in the private like setting of this family beach. Gulf Shores is not pet friendly but Fort Morgan is and so are we! Bring your fur babies and let them enjoy a vacation as well.
Great News, we have added (in May 2023) a new mini-split A/C to the main area to keep the house cool on those hot days, so we now have 2 HVAC systems. Also added close cell spray foam under the house to help keep the house cool on those hot days.
Start your vacation right and forget the cares of this world as you wake up and enjoy your coffee on the spacious front porch listening to the waves and watching the pelicans soar on the horizon. After your coffee, take a stroll on the white sand in the early hours to see the dolphins greeting you with the sunrise and before you come back in the house, there is a outside shower (Hot & Cold or warm) to rinse the sand off before heading upstairs.
As you return to make breakfast, lunch or dinner, enjoy a spacious and fully stocked kitchen that opens itself to a large island both now have new quartz countertops and open living room. The large breakfast bar has 4 bar stools. The Dining Room table fits 4-5 as well. As you head to the beach, feel free to use the wagon downstairs to haul your kids or your stuff to the beach! Enjoy your movie nights in the living room on the new 75 inch TV! Nothing like a movie night on the big (Huge) screen with the family. Wireless internet makes it easy to enjoy streaming your favorite show but Streaming TV service has changed their rules...
Please bring your own login in and passwords for your own personal accounts for Netflix, Disney, Prime, etc.
Downstairs area, you can enjoy a picnic table (seats 6), a charcoal grill, 2 porch swings and a new hammock as you feel the sea breeze pushing you along. Also downstairs we’ve put together a little photo op section so you can properly document your vacation with a family selfie.
This house has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The main suite has a king bed, a 50 in tv along with it's own on suite. The on suite has a shower and tub combination. On the other side of the house are the other two bedrooms. Each boast a queen sized bed and nice sized closets. They all have brand new mattresses purchased in September 2021. The also newly purchased sleeper sofa has a queen sized bed as well. The house comfortably sleeps 8 people.
We also added 3 outdoor security cameras for the Security of our guests and our house when we don't have guests. They are under house in the parking areas and 1 on the side of the house entrance area - motion activated.
Fort Morgan has so much to offer you! The fishing here is phenomenal with the Fort Morgan Marina only minutes away. They offer charters of the bay and ocean and the Fort Morgan pier is some of the best fishing in the Gulf! If fishing is not your thing, eating local seafood still might be. The renowned Sassy Bass Grill is amazing and only 5 minutes from your house and Tacky Jacks is 2 minutes away. If you like history the actual Fort Morgan is open to the public to tour and there is a new board walk between the ferry launch and the Fort. Come to the peninsula and see what the buzz is about.
The Ferry also leaves from the peninsula and takes you to Dauphin Island. Go enjoy a dolphin cruise and have the dolphins right at your side. Fort Morgan is Gulf Shores best kept secret. Come and enjoy your stay at “As Good as it Gets.” We can’t wait to have you!
Fall, winter and spring guests now can enjoy our new electric fireplace that actually puts out heat with the flip of a switch! And parents don’t worry it’s safe and not hot to the touch.

It really is “As Good as it Gets”!
The house was lovely, tastefully appointed and included many of the amenities we didn’t expect! Extra blankets, coffee bar and full kitchen were amazing! The trash service was a special extra touch. We enjoyed the beauty and serenity of this amazing home, steps from the beach! It was hard to leave, but we did start planning our 14th annual return trip and hope this house is available again. Very gracious hosts! Thank you for sharing your beautiful beach escape with our family. We made many treasured memories and look forward to more!

Fort Morgan Vacay
The house was just perfect for 6 adults. Location was great and just quick walk to the beach. It’s on a dead end road so not a lot of people. The house is fully stocked with variety of pans, new appliances, and new queen bunk. The AC was also very good. House was nice and cool. The host was excellent and very responsive to our questions and needs. Overall, we were very happy with the house and would recommend staying here.

Perfect Getaway
This house is perfect for a fun beach getaway. The kitchen is nice and fully stocked including kids plates and cups which my kids loved, the beds were so comfortable, and the swings and hammock downstairs were one of our favorite spots. The house is a super quick walk to the beach and you can even see it from the balcony with your morning coffee. We can’t wait to come back!

This is our 2nd yr renting this house, and we love it!! House is wonderful! Kitchen is amazing! Love that the outside shower has hot and cold water. Great view of beach from the front porch. Very close walk to beach!

Great house in a prefect location.
This place was very nice and clean. It was well stocked with everything that was needed for cooking. The location is prefect and you can view the gulf from the deck and listen to the waves, or sit under the house in the swings. This place has more than enough room to spread out with your family. Anytime I had a question, Jenn was fast to respond and very pleasant to deal with. We will definitely plan to book on our next trip. Thanks again.

Very pleased with our stay. 5th trip to gulf shores area and this was the cleanest house yet!! Very very close to the beach and quiet neighborhood. Beds comfortable. Tall people did not like little shower so used the one in master bath. Thanks!

We were there for 8 nights in October and everything was wonderful. The house is clean, well maintained, well appointed and in a great location. The owners are very friendly, very responsive and very communicative. We couldn't be happier with our choice to have spent our vacation savings and time here.

Great Spur of the Moment Trip With Our Daughter and SIL!
House was set up nicely and well-equipped. Nothing fancy but decent. Carpet and furniture were stained here and there, but nothing awful. The only negative we experienced was the kitchen not being as clean as we're used to. The first thing that hit us was the smell of steamed seafood as soon as we opened the fridge door. It was so overwhelming, we went and got a huge box of baking soda. I put it in bowls inside the fridge and in the main kitchen and living area. It helped some, but the smell was still there when we left. There were also bits of shrimp legs, etc. and crumbs in several areas inside the fridge. After traveling to get there and unpacking, I didn't enjoy taking door shelves out and soaking them, but I did it. Then there was the stuck on food in the dishes and the pots and pans were greasy inside and out. Yuck. Fortunately, we were not there to cook. Also, dishes were left in the dishwasher. Clean? Dirty? For a cleaning fee double what we're accustomed to paying, we weren't expecting to do so much of it ourselves. The housekeeper left an envelope for us to tip her. Sorry. Not warranted. On the positive side, they have a Keurig and a nice selection of coffees. Other pluses, the Mstr Br bed was very comfortable and the bathrooms were clean. Our last afternoon there, the AC unit froze up. The temp got up to 86, inside the house so we turned it off for about a half hour. Thank God for the fabulous breeze! We called to report it and were put directly in touch with the owner who was very nice about the whole thing, and assured us he would send someone immediately. About that time we turned it back on and it worked perfectly. In all fairness the weather was really hot while we were there. Would we stay there again? Judging by the overall time we had there with the kiddos? Hell yeah!

It was a great time. The owners made sure our stay was homey. It was a very short walk to the beach. The wagon really helped carrying the kids toys down to the beach. It was a perfect stay, we will be back.

Great place!!!
We loved our time at this place. Very clean, great location and accept dogs. Love this place. Our 12 and 15 teen boys had a great time. We grilled every night, the grill could use new grill grates. We walked the 1 minute walk to the beach with our dog everyday. We had a great time!!!

Great Beach House
This home had everything we needed! The decks are fantastic and spacious. The home itself has all the amenities to get one started (note, if driving you may want to bring laundry detergent to use the washing machine, extra paper products since you only get a starter kit upon arrival) before heading to the store to stock up. The location of this home close to the beach and 20+ minutes away from Gulf Shores proper was pretty perfect for us. It is a super comfortable home and you won't regret staying here. It had more than enough room for the 5 of us and we would stay here again if we return to the area. Having super close beach access is really a dream!

We loved the location and it’s proximity to the beach. The home is older but well kept, plenty of room for larger groups to spread out. Beds were comfortable, only drawback for me was no garbage disposal just so use to it at home but not a super huge deal. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would book again

Great dog-friendly beach rental
My husband & I loved our stay @ this Fort Morgan beach house. It was such a cute & homey place to stay & it is only a few steps from the beach. We enjoyed sitting on the back and front decks looking out toward the gulf. Our hosts were so wonderful to work with & quickly replied to every question or request! We will definitely try to stay there on future visits. Our dog had such a good time walking on this dog friendly beach. You can’t miss with this rental!

Great beach rental
Very nice home and short walk to beach. The beds were very comfortable and all the linens were exceptional. Nicely decorated with a coral theme and wicker. Large TV. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cookware and had a large pantry. Washer and dryer on main level! East and west decks and a charcoal grill. Large wagon for taking stuff to the beach. Two bathrooms are nice. There is a new dollar general store eight miles away if you don't want to go to "town". A great place for anyone with a pet .
