This an awesome spot due the beach, the small size of the resort, and the above average buffet. It could use some work, however. The maid was a cranky witch, there is NO animacion or fun (at least during the day), the check-in was painful, but overall the friendliness of the majority of staff and the location prevail. It was very good value as well. We had a great room, with a fantastic view for a very nice price! 20 years between visits for me and I was not disappointed. Overall I'd say "well done, Costa Caribe"!!! Con muich gusto

Arrived with half of my crew of 11 and the receptionist, Nelly, registered everyone. Also, communicate that the other half of the guest will arrive late. It was supper smooth check-in. Food is great at the buffet. We were able to get one free reservation to the Tex-Mex restaurant but unable to make it due to a GALA buffet. The food was composed of seafood, sushi and other dishes. The food was good didn’t get sick at all. The BARTENDERS: Santos did the best Margaritas. Kelvis and the other guy that worked with him last night went above and beyond to cater to us. The room was ok ( next time I will book a room with a balcony). The cleaning ladies ( didn’t get their names were amazing: they cleaned up after my daughter that got drunk and sick but she had a blast. The only flaws is that one of the 3 room ac was leaking water but we didn’t care we spent a long time outside and that in a room with 4 registered guests there were only 3 towels and one of the TV was not working. The snack bar was opened most of the time and especially when the buffet was closed. We had a blast. The show was good. They could do a little more for the kids but for the adults it was good. There is a kids club and I was able to leave my grandkids. Coming back without the kids. Overall I RECOMMEND IT.

They WILL NOT honour your Expedia booking. The staff are lovely except management. I booked/paid extra for a deluxe two queen bed room for 2 adults 1 child. They gave us one bed. I said I booked two beds and paid Expedia. The manager told me it was not her problem, they have no rooms and I need to take this up with Expedia. She offered to bring in a second bed because they did not have the room. The second bed never came. The next day my husband went down to get the bed for night 2. Staff told him they do not sell extra beds only rooms- he tried to explain the situation in Spanish (he is born in Santo Domingo and is fluent communication was not an issue) and they still would not give him a a bed. Then I had to go down and speak to another staff and we finally got a second bed. I do not recommend you go there if you are traveling with a family.

Clean and well kept property, friendly and helpful staff. Enough seating and lounging area by the pool and beach which is at short walking distance on property. Oh food was also very Good 👍👍👍.

The beds were very hard. Wouldnt change rooms. Very loud at night. People were partying till 4 am. No transportation to airport and back. Slow service at buffet. Not very many drink choices. Staff was very nice though. Gift shop very expensive. Restaurants - a la cartes had great food and service there.

I like the water and beach but the food at the hotel is terrible is cold and blend , at the restaurant the food is so salty and at the buffet are limited choice, make sure you have pills for you stomach because the food will give you problems. The entertainment is not great and also for the evening are limited seats where you can stay, out side. My recommendation is chose an other resort..
