Sandy Cottage is an original mid 1800's semi detached Fisherman's Cottage. Refurbished to a high standard it boasts a central location in the old part of Caister village, approximately 150 metres from the quiet sandy beach and dunes (Dog friendly beach all year). Fishing is popular on the local beach, with a good selection of different species being caught all year round. Views of the Caister Life Boat Station and a partial sea view can be seen from the front bedroom window. With off street parking for 2 vehicles on a gravel driveway to the front of the cottage there is also plenty of additional parking on the road down the side of the property. The nearest pub and chip shop are situated about 150 metres away with several other pubs, restaurants, takeaways and shops within a 5-10 minute walk. The moated Caister Castle and the Beautiful Norfolk Broads National Park are just a very short drive away, giving you the opportunity to explore the Broads and maybe do some fishing aboard your very own Broads cruiser which you can hire for a day from one of the many local boatyards. The Cathedral City of Norwich is situated within a 30 minute drive. With its Castle, many Historical attractions and endless shops restaurants and entertainment, your sure to find something for everyone. The Seaside resort of Great Yarmouth is just 3 miles away with good public transport links (buses every 10 minutes). If you enjoy the flashing lights of the arcades on the seafront, enjoy a few white knuckle rides or are looking for some night-life then its well worth a visit. It also hosts a Shopping Centre, Racecourse, Golf course and Dog/Banger racing Stadium. If you want a quiet retreat or enjoy a busy schedule then Sandy Cottage is ideally placed for you to relax or explore the surrounding area.

Narrow, steep stairs!
Fantastic place and location, very well equipped, very clean, lovely showers, comfy beds. The only negative were the stairs, not really suitable for the very elderly or disabled! Overall we had a brilliant holiday

Family holiday very close to the beach.
Clean, well equipped cottage with enclosed courtyard ideal for our grandchildren and dog. Very close to sandy dog friendly beach and near the Caister life boat. Excellent cafe and shop in the visitor centre. Would certainly return again a good base for exploring the area by bus or car.

Although we managed with 5 adults 1 child and an infant I would suggest only 4 adults. House was well equipped and perfect location for the beach. Owners were outstanding as they returned items we had left, including an iPhone charger.

Lovely house, great location
Lovely house, very clean and tidy, and has an upstairs bathroom which is a massive bonus in this area! Kitchen has all things you will need, plenty of cutlery, plates, glasses etc. Plenty of towels, although the bath towels could be a little larger! TV's in every room which is a nice touch. Nice little courtyard garden with table & chairs. Nice takeaways nearby, Brilliant fish & chips was good. Thoroughly enjoyed our week and will definitely look to book this house again.

Good Location
Great location to beach shops and pubs. Comfortable house everything you need, but the Staircase is very steep and narrow so not suitable for everyone. The court yard garden had a lovely sunny aspect, but needed sweeping daily , also the Barbecue was very rusty , as pointed out by previous reviews so we didn’t use it. On the whole we enjoyed our stay

Even better second time !!
Our second visit and our long weekend was even better than last year. Lots of lovely little touches around the cottage. Location is perfect being just a couple of hundred yards from an amazing beach. Dog friendly pubs and cafe virtually on your doorstep Cottage is spotlessly clean on arrival and really comfortable. We will definitely book again for next year.

Lovely Family Break
This house was just perfect. A real home from home with everything we needed. Lovely and clean and well equipped with plenty of storage and secure. We were a group of 4 adults, 2 children and a dog and there was plenty of room for us all. The local amenities had everything we needed just a short walk away. And the beach was literally at then end of the road. The whole booking process was smooth and easy. Would definitely recommend and would look to return to this property again. Thank you. Comfortable and well appointed cottage,not far from the beach.Has a small back yard with table and chairs,plus a barbecue which unfortunately was extremely dirty and rusty,so no body would be able to use.Otherwise we had a very pleasant stay.

Just what we needed
Fabulous cottage, very clean and welcoming. Ideal for the beach just a few minutes walk away. We sat out in the back which is a real suntrap. The Castle Carvery is a short drive away where we had gorgeous food. We will definitely be back.
