We got here and were greated warmly. It's extremely clean. The room smells good and I feel comfy walking barefoot in here. The design, bedding, fridge, tv, bath, microwave etc are all new looking. We asked if we could smoke on the deck and were told yes, they are one of the only hotels in the area that allow it. I had to ask because no where around the property was there evidence of smokers. It's extremely well maintained. Can't wait for breakfast, as we've heard great things

Nice place to stay!

Clean, comfy, quiet, and with a decent breakfast. We went to a concert at the Center for the Arts, and this was the perfect location within walking distance. Only two blocks from shops, brew pubs and more on Main Street. Would definitely stay again.

Room for improvement

We were not happy about our check-in experience, because we stood there for too long waiting while the hotel employee talked to her mother, unhurried. It was long enough that my companion and I kept sharing looks between us. The other clerk took the time to tell us how, when the hotel was busy and she was on the phones, she started telling callers to reserve online instead of helping them. She explained that the third-party reservations were less expensive (which is fine), but I thought it was odd that she was just trying to get people off the phone. The room really needed updating. Both the carpet and (especially) the bath mat were visibly dirty. There was also some kind of a suspicious stain on one of the blankets on the bed. It was probably nothing, but it made me nervous. Lastly, the "artwork" looked like reproductions of my grandma's crappy paintings. On the plus side, the beds were comfortable and there was a little refrigerator, microwave, and safe. It was conveniently located and there was plenty of parking.

Great find in Grass Valley

Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Temperature was also perfect, not too hot not too cold when it was quite cold outside. Amenities offered in room or above average, breakfast served on property was very extensive. I would stay here again

Quaint, well maintained motel style property with lovely, friendly staff. Room was clean and comfortably appointed. Quiet, comfortable bed, our room with a cozy fireplace, we slept too late to enjoy breakfast! Only there overnight visiting family we did not spend much time in town, but we would absolutely stay again.
