Quaint, well maintained motel style property with lovely, friendly staff. Room was clean and comfortably appointed. Quiet, comfortable bed, our room with a cozy fireplace, we slept too late to enjoy breakfast! Only there overnight visiting family we did not spend much time in town, but we would absolutely stay again.

Comfortable but lacking in help!
Rooms were clean. Sofa bed mattress needs replacement. Queen beds were exceptionally comfortable!! Rooms were well equipped with towels and bedding - suite was cozy and my family loved being downtown! Hot breakfast was good, but facility lacked sufficient help to manage to keep up with the front desk, preparing food and keeping coffee pot full. Even just 2 staff members (they had one) would have helped manage the complimentary breakfast included in the stay. The single staff worker might have been less irritable too had she had some extra help. Both mornings -about 45 minutes before the breakfast window time was over- the kitchen did run out of key ingredients to prepare their omelettes.

We loved the hotel. The lady at the front desk let us check in early and recommended a couple of restaurants for lunch. The room was very nice and comfortable. We enjoyrd the fireplace and jetted tub. Everything was very clean. For breakfast they offered omelettes and waffles made to order along with the typical cereal, yougurt, muffins and croissants. We will definitely return when in the area. Everyone at the front desk was friendly and helpful.

The place is very nice but heater does not work. It’s a remote and difficult to figure out. We called the office and she came up right away. Tried to fix but we froze. My husband tried to take a bath. Water was lukewarm. Disappointing. These are reasons we won’t stay again. But the room is nice and staff are great.

This property is centrally located and within easy walking distance to Grass Valley shops and eateries. The one bedroom suite was spacious, had a fully equipped kitchen and separate dining area in the living room. The bedroom was separate from a spacious dual sink area with a separate toilet and bathtub/shower room. Well appointed. Quiet. Relaxing. Carol in reception was a gem as were the other staff.

Anniversary Celebration Saved
I had a great stay. We had a debacle with a late check in and our keys not working. Although we had to find another hotel nearby in the early morning hours, everyone did whatever needed to make it right the next day including a nicer room. Thanks for making our anniversary special!
