Celebration of life for my husband Patrick
This was our 3rd time renting the ranch house. My husband discovered this amazing place for his Aunt in 2017, who is now battling Alzheimer’s that loved and adored horses. The Farmhouse is a middle location to our family in PA, VA and MD. My husband passed just recently to cancer and it was his 56 birthday and as a family we decided to come together to celebrate at the farm house he loved. We have great memories dear to all of us at your farm house. Thank youThe only thing that was alerting was that one of the garage doors was backed into with damages prior to our arrival which I was able to reach out to the owner of the home. I sent pictures to the owner but wished we were informed. We did find out that she wasn’t informed either so I was very upset for her as a homeowner who also rent a beachhouse property

Birthday trip from hell
Issues started the instant we arrived! Ice by garage, stairs to door not cleared properly. No access to the handrail causing me to fall and injure my ribs. No working fireplace as advertised. The pool area has mold growing on the walls. The pool was too cold to use! The sink and shower water smelled like rotten eggs and skunk. Worst was the white stains and dirty sock I found when going to bed in the master bedroom . We only stayed one night instead of four. I am now dealing with VRBO to get a refund for the three days we did not stay. I have gottenno responsefromthehost since the morningwe left. This house was in terribleconditionand we were mislead by there misrepresentation. . The pool was too cold to use. The water smell

Family getaway
The property is beautiful on the outside. The inside could use some work. We stayed during a very cold weekend and the heat was not able to handle the space. It was set to 65 degrees. After contacting the property manager, we were allowed to increase the heat but unfortunately the temperature in the house never made it past 68. The fireplace did not work and the downstairs was only heated with a small space heater. Given there is a bedroom with 2 queen beds and 4 futons in the basement, I wish there was adequate heat down there. The basement is huge and if there were more bedrooms instead of futons on the floor, a lot more people could be more comfortable. The bathrooms could use some improvements. The water has a bad iron smell and all bathrooms are heavily stained from it. The carpets leading and into the loft were heavily stained and need replaced. I wanted to love this property due to the location of being on a rescue horse farm. I hope they make some improvements to the space because it could be a fabulous rental.

It was a wonderful location for our group of friends and kids to stay for a long weekend. The host left so many amazing decorations accomidations and details for us. We really enjoyed our time there. Hope to come back again in Spring.

Rustic and homey overall. Loved the fall decor, location and the scenery (horses in pastures was great). Loft sleeping area needed more care- dead bugs on wall , sheets stained, and trash on floor.

Beautiful, Fun House and Property
The house was amazing. My kids loved the pool and basketball court in the garage. As soon as we walked in my 11 year old said he wanted to go back next year. Having the horses right outside made it extra special. 20 mins drive to Hershey. So much better going back to that house after a day of fun than to a hotel.

Great place with great surroundings
I would absolutely stay here again. Came with a group of 10 guys and we had a great time! The only thing that needs to be worked is VRBO’s descriptions of the bedrooms and what is in them. Because of this not everyone had their own bed as expected but we made it work! The owner was super responsive to every question and didn’t have any delay those responses! Thank you for a great time!

inside house was clean but had problems with downstairs shower. Washer did not work, which we all planned on. We could have been informed of this but were not told until we arrived. Decks are DANGEROUS!!!!! My son foot \leg went through a deck board. Owner was sorry but never asked how his leg was!!! The weeds around house are terrible. Could not use back patio due to it being weed covered. Seeing the horses was nice.

This trip was for a family of 16. Communication was good. The owner answered any questions fairly quick. The pool, space and game room was great. The back and front decks both need some serious work, poison ivy was coming up through the deck, broken and weak boards. No warning on the fences about them being electric. The dumpster was FULL all week so we couldn’t place the trash anywhere after the outside cans were full. The showers/bathtubs need to be updated/fixed. There was no firewood for the outside fire ring as said there would be in the binder and the washer was broken. There was constant in and out traffic and I understand it’s a working farm but they should really watch for kids playing, they would come in and out too quick for my comfort, maybe having a second entrance would be good. The location was good though and the view was beautiful. Personally would not book for the price we paid it wasn’t worth it. I think this could be a better place to book if these issues were resolved.

Beautiful, overall very nice. The pool was amazing! The house and property was amazing! We could not access the internet, the washer didn't work, they sent a repairman to check it out. But it wasn't repaired. The basement carpet was wet, so we couldn't really use it. We were not told about it, they had blowers going to dry it. We would stay there again.

CAUTION: Don’t stay here: not as advertised!!
Upon arrival, we quickly realized this house was a SECURITY and SAFETY nightmare, no working smoke detectors, electrical issues, inoperable windows and doors. Every door was open to enter, no key needed. A “friend of the owner” entered the house unannounced after we checked in. She told us not to swim in the pool, for at least an hour, as she cleaned and added chemicals, which should’ve been done prior to our arrival. She also told us there was no air conditioning. We could not open windows because they had no screens, broken screens or were NAILED shut, (owner was going to “look into it” but you can see in the pictures of the house provided, there are no screens.). It was 83 degrees according to thermostat the entire time. Broken air conditioning units outside the home, blades were completely missing. This is not something that just happened. When contacting the owner, she stated that she tried to let us know it was broken but her “cell service was bad”. She also tried to appease us by claiming fans were blowing, but all they did was push hot air around. The property has no outside yard due to electrified horse fences all around and are not posted as such. Thankfully, a ranch volunteer warned us. These are just a few of the issues we had. We contacted the owner and VRBO of the issues immediately. It’s a shame that VRBO has not removed this property to protect it’s renters. We paid too much money for an unsafe, sweaty stay (wish we could include pictures!)
