SPECTACULAR MILLION DOLLAR VIEWS AS EVER! Get out your camera!

Early Autumn/Winter 2024

Autumn is here, listen carefully as you stand out on the deck, for you will start to hear the buggiling of the Bull Elk, with the many different sounds of the wildlife, as they prepare for the changing of the seasons. Lose yourself in the deep golds of the surrounding aspens and the kaleidoscope of the fall colors. Great photo opportunities for the amateur or the professional too!

For a couple more months, we have a resident Marmot or two in the neighbors’ wood piles. Marmots make a very high pitched squeal to alert their family. Please (kiddos and pups too) keep away from the wood piles. It is always wise to stay clear of any wildlife. Moose and elk tracks are throughout our property and anywhere else they feel like travelling. Wildlife abounds and don't be surprised if you see Fox, Moose, Elk, Osprey, Bald Eagle, Marmots, Deer and little forest creatures of all shapes and sizes running thru the property at anytime! Plenty of bird and raptor watching from all angles of the property. Get out your camera!!

The views from the living room and deck are spectacular of the continental divide and Lake Granby! Take a cup of your favorite beverage out to the deck and enjoy the sunrise or the moonrise! Chairs and Bench. Outside table and chairs for kiddos too. For your comfort while seated on the deck – new chairs and bench. During anytime of the year there is a gas grill for BBQs. Grill should not be left unattended. Please make certain the gas is turned completely off when NOT in use. *

At night, solar lit lanterns on the trail will guide you to the stainless steel firepit for you to enjoy. NO OPEN fire please! Make sure this area is attended by an adult at all times. Completely saturate pit with water when you are finished. Bucket in garage. Hose East side of house. FIRE BAN IS IN PLACE. REFER TO Welcome Guide for restrictions.

PLEASE take full advantage of those amazing, never-ending views!!!!

Convenient to so much…….

Property borders the dirt road entrance to Arapaho National Forest. 10 minutes from Grand Lake. Minutes away from all sorts of Winter activities. 15 minutes from Granby Ranch Ski resort. 25-30 minutes to Fraser, and Winter Park. L’Ours Haus Address, Information and Directions
Address: 169 CR (County Road) 451, Grand Lake, CO 80447

L'Ours Haus is located in the Stillwater tracts area. Please take State Hwy Rd 34 to CR 4, (between the horse-elk statues and the "Highway 34 Storage" business.) Go west on CR 4 about two miles. Then take a left onto CR 451. There is a wood post with a bunch of names/signs on it. Follow the 1st white arrow with a Bear Paw on it for L'Ours Haus. Note: This left you take is the last left before you head into the National Forest. If you hit gravel, you have gone too far, turn around and then take your first right coming back.

Once you turn on CR 451 go a little more than a block to a fork. There is a 2nd Bear paw white arrow on this post with many other painted signs. Stay right of the fork, passing a driveway. A few feet up the dirt road is the 3rd Bear Paw white arrow sign (next to sign Surratt) on a wire fence. Turn right. Go up the little bumpy dirt road, about 200 yds.

There is a little Bear sitting on yellow drum holding another sign as you come to our driveway. L'Ours Haus is on the right of the cul-de-sac. Welcome. "Fuzzy The Bear" is waiting to greet you. Don't worry he can't hurt you........made of wood.

There you will experience your FIRST MILLION DOLLAR VIEWS

Stairs are tough for elders
This is a great place with lots of thoughtful additions and a well appointed kitchen. Bathrooms were newer and there is dependable wifi. The views are indeed spectacular! We found ourselves out on the deck regularly to view it at different times of the day and night. The only real drawback is the interior set of stairs leading up from the garage. Those stairs are more than a bit awkward so we ended up mostly using the stairs on the deck.

Amazing Stay
L'Ours Haus was without a doubt one of the best vacation rentals we've stayed in. The home is on a beautiful property with incredible views. Inside is nicely decorated and the attention to detail is over the top. The kitchen has every appliance one could possibly need and the pots, pans, dishes and glassware were real quality. We enjoyed cooking our meals here and our stay was truly amazing. We look forward to staying at L'Ours Haus again.

Beautiful and comfortable
We love this place! It was our second stay at Bearadise/L'Ours Haus. We love the privacy, the spectacular view and the location half way between Grand Lake and Granby, for starters. RMNP is close, ATV launch into the Arapahoe Nat'l Forest just down the road. Great hikes from Grand Lake and around Shadow Mt and Granby Lake. The place was very comfortable for 2 people. New owners have done a nice job of upgrading and appointing with many little extras! Everything was clean and comfortable. We will definitely return. Big thanks to our hosts!

Family Vacation
We were so pleased when we arrived at this property! The views were amazing and the hosts have thought of everything. All of the extras are included; extra linens, snacks, games, flashlights, and many more. We loved exploring on the property and also enjoyed the campfire and deck seating nightly, The property manager and host have wonderful communication and are easy to reach if there are any questions. The only reason that we cannot give a 5 star review is stated below. Our only complaint, which proved to be a pretty big one, was a very clear problem with mice that we saw late on the last night before check out. After reaching out they assure us they are frantically working on this constant battle. We only wish we had known this before hand to help us choose housing while vacationing in Colorado.

The views are amazing and the cabin is in a great secluded location. We were able to see fireworks at Grand Lake and Granby from the top deck! Dave had great communication and even let us come back after our check out time to pick up my husband's wallet that we had accidentally left there. I would highly recommend staying here!

Great experience!
The property was perfect for our small group of five. We've rented many properties in the Grand/ Granby area and this one has the best views BY FAR. Absolutely breathtaking. We loved how clean it was, beds we're extremely comfortable and it's so close to any and everything you could possibly want to enjoy in the area. The house is very well organized (kitchen labels, etc) which we really appreciated. Property owner was very courteous and communicative every step of the way. Highly recommend.

We did not expect to have to clean when we arrived at this property. It needs alot more work than just a deep cleaning. Closet door off, water leak in downstairs bathroom, linens had stains, so had to strip beds and wash linens.
