Nice place to stay.
The room was comfortable. The staff were friendly. The restaurant was high priced for the food. The breakfast was not that good. The pancakes were hard on the edges. The breakfast was overpriced-$18.00 per person is too much for the food choices. I’ve stayed at other properties that provide breakfast included with the stay that is better quality.

We loved the hotel! It is beautiful and a perfect location for visiting the Grand Canyon! We would definitely stay here again! Two small complaints. The gentleman that checked us in was not very friendly. The sheets on the bed were scratchy!

Arrived at the Hotel a few hours after check in time, met staff at front desk who assigned me a room. Went to assigned room and to my surprise it was already occupied. I went back to the front desk and was told they were not sure what happened. Then told they did not have my type of room available (king) only had an ADA 2 queen room left. Then told I could come back the next morning and see if they could switch me back into the room I purchased. Told that because I booked thru Hotels.com there was not much they could do to compensate for my inconvenience, so I was given a free breakfast certificate. Did not change rooms because we wanted to enjoy the state park rather than shuffle rooms.

Great experience at check in and nice room too! The previous person had left something in the fridge, housekeeping had already cleaned that out before we even checked in, but the smell lingered. Our noses got used to it, but once I opened the fridge it was strong again so just kept it shut and off. We visited the gift shop and it was large with lots to choose from in case you forget anything or want to pick something up. The hotel does have a Steakhouse and Saloon as well. This is where we ran into our only “issue” if you want to call it that. We went there for dinner but passed and decided to have some drinks instead. They do have a well stocked bar and told us they can make us any drink, but no cocktail list. We ordered fairly simple drinks, and they arrived one at a time. There were 4 of us so this took time. While looking around we also saw a TV with adds for the hotel and it showcased about 6-8 seasonal and regular cocktails, yet we were told there was no cocktail list. We ordered a second round with the exception of ordering one of the advertised drinks. All were good but the person making the drink would make one drink and then deliver it to the table. By the time the last person got their drink others were done or mostly done. They were clearly short staffed, and didn’t have someone really trained as a bartender and made the best of the situation but it took way too long, and then trying to get the check was another long wait. Overall a 4 star rating for the hotel.
