Historic Downtown Carriage House

This upstairs apartment is in a classic looking 1920's stone carriage house in a prime location in center of historic downtown Flagstaff. The property is entirely enclosed with a quaint lighted stone and cedar wall with free off-street parking, stone fire pit and sitting terrace, trees, seasonal flowers and vines, and grassy lawn (Please Note: they all lose their foliage during winter months. Yes, some guests have asked why the landscape color is gone in the winter time ... :). You'll be within just a few minutes walking distance to dozens of shops, restaurants, nightlife, and public transportation. It's warm, cozy, secluded, accessible - you’ll love my place because of the ambiance, the location, and the lighted enclosed exterior and fire-pit stone terrace. This is a perfect place for all types of travelers and activities.

This malapai stone house is a perfect mix of classic and modern, with warm wood interiors and modern updates, including hydronically heated wood floors and a freshly remodeled bathroom. The kitchen is original with a few aesthetic improvements, and the queen bed is new and comfortable. In addition, the entire house is on a charcoal filtration water system.

Charming historic property in the heart of downtown Flagstaff
I recently had the pleasure of staying at a historic carriage house in downtown Flagstaff, Arizona, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. The location was perfect, within walking distance to all the attractions downtown, and just a short stroll to a local playhouse where we enjoyed a fantastic performance of Elf the Musical. The property itself was impeccably clean and beautifully furnished with super cute antiques that added a unique charm to the space. The hosts were incredibly nice and informative, providing us with valuable insights about the property and the surrounding areas. One of the highlights of our stay was the abundance of thoughtful extras provided. From coffee and condiments to sunscreen and hairspray, the hosts had thought of everything we could possibly need. It truly felt like a home away from home. Overall, I highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a cozy and convenient place to stay in Flagstaff. It exceeded all our expectations and made our trip truly memorable.

Charming and delightful apartment with beautiful yard
This was our first visit to Flagstaff & we enjoyed it so much we've already made plans to return. When we parked & looked at the house we would stay in for five weeks we were taken in by loads of sunflowers, the lovely green space filled with shade, bright colored flowers of so many varieties, & the beautiful ivy covered carriage house. We couldn't help but smile. The apartment was delightful, charming furnishings, with plenty of storage for everything we brought for our 5 week stay. The bathroom was modern, the bed was comfortable, and there was always a cool breeze coming through the abundance of windows. Jan was a great host! He met us when we arrived & gave us the tour, pointing out everything we would need to know about the apartment. He checked in with us regularly to see if we needed anything in the apartment, were we comfortable, was there anything he could do to make things better. He was a wealth of information regarding places to go & things to do during our stay. The location was great! We could walk into downtown Flagstaff, so many shops, restaurants, Heritage Square, or stroll the neighborhood. We enjoyed many easy day trips to places like the Grand Canyon, Walnut Canyon, Horseshoe Bend, & so many fun towns in the surrounding area like Jerome, Cottonwood, Williams, & more, several of which were suggestions from Jac. A couple of nights in this historic building were just what we needed. It's comfortable, cozy, and close to everything (except the Valley heat, which we went to Flagstaff to escape from). We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment is just right for a couple. Very cozy and comfortable. Location was perfect for downtown stores/restaurants as well as traveling to Grand Canyon and Sedona. Loved the fact that a washer/dryer was available, so we didn't have to pack so much. The host was very friendly and easily accessible. Would highly recommend.

The apartment was a short walking distance to downtown and on a very quiet street. Plenty of parking which we really appreciated. Clean and provided all the basics. Could use a bit more counter space in the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom, but otherwise was very comfortable. Owner was very pleasant and communicative. Would recommend this rental.
