The setting is spectacular… sits 40 feet above Atlantic Ocean waves with expansive views to horizon. The beach has only about 6 other houses. In two weeks, we saw fewer than 5 people on the small beach, so quite private. Barbie is a very responsive host. Bullets to truncate a much more extensive review of a house in need of work.- great deal of deferred maintenance. Most window shades broken. Some windows must be propped open, some screens are ripped, handles missing from screens.- There was a broken screen dumped on the front porch when we arrived.- Kitchen: only 2 unmatched glass wine glasses, random drinking glasses, a random tableware and pots and pans and dishes (many chipped). Not ideal for people who cook a lot. -only cleaning supplies-Dawn, dustpan, broom, mop, bucket, no detergent. -condiments: salt, pepper, and some chili flakes. - if you have mobility issues, it’s 40 feet of stairs down to the stair on the beach, and a foot-plus drop to the sand. - 2 of 4 deck recliners broken- high, kitchen counters, but only 1 chair high enough to sit there-all 4 folding, closet doors brokenThe short beach bounded on south by destroyed fortification; on north, quite large, outcropping of jagged, coral. Crossing treacherous with mobility issues. 5 miles of beautiful beach beyond.-Barbie: appreciative of feedback, indicated she would fix some problems for future guests. Of our 60 rentals-this is in the top 5% for beautiful vistas, bottom 5% for upkeep.
