Much better than a hotel
The property was clean, nicely decorated and was great for our mini family get together. It was quiet at night and was a short and easy drive to the pool. It was a little bit hard to find for the first time in the dark, but otherwise was great!

Nice place but not really family friendly
This place would work great for groups of all adults or older children but for small kids, there just too many difficulties to overcome. There is one high chair for an infant but the only other indoor eating choice is tall stools that don’t work for little kids. We opted for the outside table but got rained out twice and ended up feeding kids on a blanket on the floor. The stairs are unusually steep with no guards at top or bottom. The steep stairs were also noticed by the senior in our group. Finally there is glass and chachkies everywhere. Too much clutter for easy use of kitchen and living room. There was no place to put items we brought with us and still have food prep place. Finally, it made it difficult to relax in the house when you are constantly worried about a kid getting hurt or breaking something and stumbling over stuff to get to what you need. Owner asks that you not use the glassware they have on display anyway. Clear it out and make more useful space.

Disappointing
Arrived after a long day of travel and hiking to find the property a pig sty. Dirty dishes, hair in bathroom, dirty sheets, wet towels, food on counter. It was disgusting. Completely ruined the vibe of the vacation. Received only a very small refund for our trouble. Do not recommend.

Affordable & Cute Cottage
We had eight family members stay here while on vacation in Glenwood Springs (4 adults & 4 kids). It’s a little off the beaten path, but not bad and the neighborhood was decent. There’s not a lot of privacy, but it worked for us since we were out & about most of the time anyway. The blinds in the living room did not work so we couldn’t pull them down at night & the stairs are rather steep but other than that we were happy. Vrbo’s are very expensive in this area & we felt this one was very affordable, check-in was easy, it was cute, clean, beds are pretty comfortable, so overall we were very happy with our rental.

This is a great home and place to stay. It is fully decorated and has a lot of pots, pans, dishes, kitchen gadgets, etc. that one typically does not find in a VRBO. There are plenty of sleeping areas with pretty comfortable mattresses. The sectional sofa with two recliners and additional seating on the main level is amazing. There is a half bath just off the kitchen that is also perfect. Great outdoor seating and plenty of parking. The patio seating is inviting and even with people very close by, the property still deserves the 5 star rating!

Wonderful Cottage
My wife and I stayed in the Mountain Shadows Cottage last week of September, 2023. It is a wonderful vacation cottage, it is in a quiet neighborhood, easy to get to nearby hot springs and hiking trails. The house is well decorated and cozy, we felt like going home after each day’s exhausted activities. The manager is easy to reach and she responded to our inquiries promptly.

Quick Weekend to Glenwood
After reading others reviews, I feel like I must have stayed at a different property. There is no way the kitchen floor had been mopped recently; the outdoor table was caked with gunk (I had to clean it myself...and it could have used a much deeper clean); and my son dropped his Airpod behind the couch, and we were blown away by the mountain of fruit loops, hair, and dust. My son also found a random box under his bed so I'm not sure that you have the best cleaning crew. We arrived to no coffee carafe, and I appreciate how quickly the management company resolved the issue. There is virtually nothing in the kitchen that normally comes stocked in a vacation rental. No ziplocs, saran wrap, tupperware..cooking oil...not even coffee filters. It's not like a guest knows what kind of filters to bring with them. So yet more additional costs. The owners need to put some money into this property. The oudoor plastic flower arrangements are gross, there is no light that we could find in the den, and the water in the shower fluctuates between scalding and freezing. There are many cute sayings in the property communicating love, family, friends. I would feel more loved by having someone vacuum and mop behind the couch.

Overall this property was quite functional for our needs, the living room blind was broken and didn’t raise and the shower was hard to control the water temperature, the patio table was dirty. But adequate space for the family, and all the kitchen things were easy to find

We had a great time in glenwood!! There was quite a bit of pet hair. 😆 I love that some places are pet friendly but please clean up the hair! The blankets & sheets were covered in hair. 😆😆 Other than that the house was great, kind of small & some of the ladies were hot, we didn’t cook anything but the kitchen seemed well stocked. Eating together would have been an issue unless we used the outdoor space. With 7 ladies it was nice to have a half bath. It took some time to find the right place & if it had rained harder I’m not sure we would have made it out. 🤣 There were plenty of towels & things which is always nice. The bathroom could use a little tlc & if you shut the 1/2 bath door all the way you will get trapped. 🤣 It was a good little house. I’d stay again if the person hair issue was taken care of.

Quiet, Clean, Comfy Beds!
This home was the perfect getaway for our girls trip! With three bedrooms and super comfortable memory foam beds, a huge bathroom plus a 1/4 bath downstairs, we had plenty of room, and enjoyed the board games provided as well. When we couldn’t find trash bags or TP, our request was answered immediately, and the very next day, their very sweet cleaning lady delivered everything we needed. Adjusting the hot vs cold water in the shower was a bit challenging, but we figured it out. This property met our every need!

Great Weekend Getaway
Pictures are accurate as everything appeared as listed. The only trouble we had was the lock box for the key at the front door was impossible to open so we used the backup key. The back patio is wonderful for kicking back and relaxing with good friends and a good drink.

Great mountain retreat!
This house was great! The inside was just like the pictures. It was comfortable and had everything you needed. The communication with the owner/ property manager was quick and accommodating. My only negative comment would be the shower. Trying to figure out how to regulate the temp was frustrating. The water gets so hot it can scald you. Just make sure no one flushes the toilet or turns on any sink in the house while in the shower. Ouch! I would stay here again.

Lovely, cozy home a ways away from town
This is a lovely location, although a bit further away from the town, restaurants, and hot springs than we would have preferred. Fenced in back yard for the dogs, small but very workable kitchen. We ran out of toiler paper for our party of five, and although the manager responded to our request, it took long enough to get the response that we had already purchased our own TP. A small matter that did not mar an enjoyable stay.
