Average at best. Got a disabled room for some reason.
Bed not very comfy and had a makeup stain on the bedding. Certainly not mine.
Limited tv channels.
Breakfast food cold and too busy. Like a cattle market
The hotel has a great location along the riverfront and only a few blocks from the liveliness of Glasgow’s pedestrian malls and downtown areas. It was pretty easy to walk to the main square and there were tonnes of dining and drinking options around. The hotel was very clean and comfortable - fabulous beds! Would like the option of lighter bedding rather than the one piece (heavy) duvet but that wasn’t in the room. I also didn’t enquire so maybe it was an option.
To get to the room was a little circuitous- through the stairwell, down stairs, through the bar, through several doors to the elevator to go up 6 or 7 floors. Probably this was because it was an historic building. It wasn’t an issue but signage could have been a bit better. Didn’t eat here, but did enjoy the bar. Good service, wide variety and fair prices for Glasgow.
Excellent stay, really nice hotel with nice staff. only small issue was that the self-service breakfast area is quite small and staff didn't always keep a regular check on items stock e.g. no bread for toast, no glasses for juice....
