Rating 10 - Excellent. 1181 out of 1679 reviews" "
Loved everything about our stay at the Clayton. Room was beautiful; staff was king and the food at the bar was delicious. Can’t wait to stay here again.
Pleasant decor and staff.
Poor selection of beers in bar no draft bitters but plenty of lagers. No Bacardi.
Poor bar food menu and underwhelming Table D'hote (£25.00) menu.
Other than the above a pleasant enough establishment and would consider stopping again.
Clean and modern rooms. Central and walkable location. Breakfast buffet was excellent. We enjoyed room with Queen plus Twin for traveling with a child.
Note that there are about a dozen steps up to hotel that you will need to carry bags up.
Loved the location. Very walkable to the market area and shops. The room was lovely. The entrance area had only steps which made it a bit difficult to carry the suitcases up. Would be good to have a ramp as well. The rooms very really nice, just a bit complicated to get to from the main entrance.
Positives: Property decor is very chic. The bar is a lovely space with booths and nice ambiance. The bedroom had a view over the river. The waitresses and reception staff were really polite and helpful.
We queued at the bar for 'last order' drinks after returning from a show and were told the bar was shut, despite the barman serving the customers ahead of is in the queue. We paid £18 per person for breakfast - raw tomatoes, uncooked bacon and no sausages, breakfast room staff were indifferent and had to be asked for service - it was awful!
We would stay again but would skip the breakfast! 'experience'.
This hotel is really beautiful with a very nice view of the river Clyde. The room was nice enough, a little small, but not unusable unusual for the area. The HVAC needs a lot of work. The rooms were very stuffy and the front desk controls the AC. The AC tones off every two hours. So make sure to tell the front desk to keep torino turning out on if your like to sleep cold. Thru can bring you a fan of, like me, you like to sleep really cold.
