Waterfront Wollochet Cottage

Our quaint cottage is located at the back of Wollochet Bay in Gig Harbor - it sits on the water's edge overlooking the estuary beyond. Staying here means views of tideflats, seabirds, and watching the tide come in and out. The cottage sleeps four guests comfortably in 700 square feet. You'll enjoy a fully equipped kitchen, high quality linens, and outdoor living including a fire pit.

*Please note that while the cottage is waterfront, the beach goes completely dry and is very muddy.

*The primary bedroom and bathroom are located on the main floor. There is an additional queen size bed in the loft but it may be challenging for those with limited mobility as it is accessed by a ladder.


We live in the harbor too, so we are nearby if needed!

Gig Harbor is a beautiful, charming, historic fishing town located in the South Puget Sound. Wollochet Bay is one of several saltwater bays within Gig Harbor.

The cottage is located on a private, neighborhood street - great for walking. It is about a 5 minute drive into Historic Waterfront Gig Harbor which has several bars, restaurants, and shops.

The home is located 15 minutes to Tacoma, 45 minutes from SeaTac International Airport, and an hour from downtown Seattle.

The entire house is yours during your stay! However the lower level is owners storage and it locked from guest use.

*THIS IS NOT A PARTY VENUE. This is a quiet neighborhood with a peaceful environment full of wildlife. Only 4 guests maximum. Guests that attempt to bring more guests without permission will be asked to leave immediately without a refund.

*This property has exterior cameras that cover the driveway and opposite property line of the house. There are NO INTERIOR or outdoor recreation area cameras for your privacy.
During your stay at this vacation home, you'll be close to Cushman Trail. Free WiFi and a kitchen are available in the vacation home.

A deluxe cabin feel.
A delightful place to stay. My daughter loved the loft and kept talking about the amazing view of the water from up in her nook. Nice and clean and well appointed. I was worried the one heater wouldn’t be enough but we were plenty toasty and had to turn it down eventually. Easy check in and out, fantastic owner communication, and very lovely stay.

Best Little Gem!
We were only there 1 night, but we would have loved to have stayed longer! The house is adorable and has everything you need. Super comfy beds, well-equipped kitchen, darling decor. And the view? AMAZING! Right on the water. It's a short drive to town, which we liked because it was off the beaten path so it was very quiet. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Super cute place! Very private and beautiful afternoon view of the water. Some things that were not included in the description: COFFE IS PROVIDED! There is a Keurig-type machine along with coffee pods, creamer, and sugar. There is also an espresso maker with ground beans provided. THE TIDE GOES OUT! In the morning, the bay is just mud but the tide comes back in fairly quickly and by 10:00 or so the view is beautiful again. BATHROOM AMENITIES: Body wash, shampoo, and conditioner are provided in the shower...save packing space and leave yours at home. HOUSE IS DOWNHILL: The parking spot is on the street which is about roof-level of the house. You will need to go down some steep steps (or a steep gravel driveway) to get to the house. No problem for most but if you have accessibility issues, just be aware. FEATHERS: some of the bedding is filled with down; there is plenty to choose from so you can swap to your heart's content. We enjoyed our stay; our 5-year-old loved sleeping in the loft, exploring the property, and picking blackberries along the road. Space is tight and there are only 2 comfy chairs so make sure that will work for your group. We utilized the grill on the deck and enjoyed our dinners overlooking the water and trees every night. This place is obviously decorated and cared for with love.

We didn’t get to spend a lot of time at the cottage, mostly using it for sleeping at night, but it had a fantastic, relaxing vibe. The deck overlooking the bay provided a great view. It would have been nice to take advantage of the fire pit/hangout area in the back if we had more time. Definitely recommend.

Perfect weekend getaway
Our family couldn’t be more satisfied with our stay in the waterfront cottage! It was nicely kept, clean, and cozy! We bought steak at a nearby grocery store and used the grill out in the balcony! It was very easy to use and the steak was cooked to perfection! I love how the whole place receives so much natural lighting and the place was very well maintained and decorated. The host was very kind and helpful front start to finish.

We loved the water view on a quiet bay. Quiet except for the lovely sounds of birds. We had some problems because I didn’t notice there is ladder-like steps to the second bedroom in a loft, not accessible to 3 older women with hip and knee osteoarthritis. I called one of the owners who rushed over with a comfortable solution to put in the living room.

My husband and i chose this cottage for our honeymoon and it did not disappoint! There was everything we needed aside from washer and dryer. They had outdoor seating, pots and pans and even a grill. It's perfect for couples but might be a little tight for families with younger children.
