Its a nice property, but the smell around the area is terrible and its dirty. The hotel needs to make sure the yards outside is kept clean and its so smells. The rooms are small. The bathroom grossed us out. The toilet is in with the shower. Never seen this before in my life and I have traveled alot. We can see that there are doing renovations. By the way the gym is above our bedroom and woke us up at 4am. The breakfast is ok, but the food is cold. This is not good.

Location was ok. Rooms were very spacious, toilet was a bit smelly. Staff for the most part was very courteous, except when I asked for water for both rooms that we had. The woman of course had to use Google translate to communicate. Room attendant was willing to give, but she (guess she was a supervisor) had a problem with it. Mind you, water bottles are replenished in the room everyday. Food was not desirable at all😔😏. Would I stay again? Probably I would😀

It was clean. Felt isolated in the area. Not enough English speakers. The only food was Chinese. No outdoor areas. Unfinished mall. Strange rooms with large windows overlooking diners in the only restaurant /zero privacy. Would only exchange US dollars produced after 2020? Smell of sewage in bathroom.

Stayed at the Royal International Hotel in GY for a week. The hotel is clean and is located in the downtown area. Parking was a bit tight so getting in and out was a little hard. Liked that there was a supermarket on site making it easy to grab snacks. The restaurant on site is also very convenient if you don’t have a car. Breakfast was ok, they need to include some Guyanese dishes to incorporate the culture. Housekeeping was ok. The language barrier made communication a bit hard as everyone speaks Chinese, but overall the stay was good and we’d go back again.

This was my second stay at the Royal and I still highly recommend. It is a new, clean and spacious facility and the breakfast is a good variety. I had an issue with my keycard timing out more than once. I had to go back to the front desk to reset it.

Royal International Hotel, Georgetown.
Quite a big hotel so it was easy to get a booking when all other major chains were fully booked. Located in upscale Georgetown. Very good gym (Space). Downside, wifi wasn't great in my room on the 3rd floor, so I spent most times working out of the lobby. Food was just average. Staff were 5-Star.
