Not bad
Overall ok for the price . Double room (private) with shared bathroom .convenient location just that the windows were not sealed properly so it was very noisy . Comfy bed . Room was a bit dusty ..cleanliness could be improved . Friendly service from the counter staff.
The receptionist was not polite, she took my money for the city tax and charge me per day per stay and I booked for two nights so I paid her upon checked in. After check-in about 1 hour later I did not like the hotel so I want to check out then I ask for my city tax to be refunded for the second cost as I will not stay for tomorrow. She did not want to give back to me the money.
And I get two bottles of water per day for my room and I already paid for my two nights stay and they told no not refundable so I said fine. Then I ask to give me my two bottles of water in advance for my second-night stay water. She refused to give me water which I already paid for it.
This hotel is horrible and the bed is dirty and some hair around the pillow and room is dusty, and some part is falling apart in the room and curtain is not working properly.
Room and bed is Clean. Sells beer at reception at decent price. Common area upstairs has power plugs so you could work. Bathroom heaters could use some maintenance. Underbed storage is a nice idea.
Absolutely terrible. Terrible wifi between 0.5 Mbps to 2 Mbps constantly disconnecting. Also, Bed bugs were found in my bed the first night I got there. They moved me to a different room after I told the staff and they washed my clothes. The bathroom on the third floor has very bad shower pressure and the shower handle is broken. The water heater was also not working.
Location is really good. It’s at the heart of good food and walking distance to Komtar where the bus terminal is. Getting around is super easy. The Indian Male staff (I forgot to ask for his name) is really friendly and awesome. Recommended me a good local food stall too and gave a landmark to find my way at ease. Clean and comfortable for a good night sleep after a long day. There’s a lounge at level 5 where you can lepak and chill. There are books, TV, movies available too.
Very comfortable, spacious beds and shared dorm rooms with modern touches. One of the sleekest hostel rooms I've stayed in, by far! I appreciated that the floor had four bathrooms/showers as well (with the best water pressure I've experienced in any hotel/hostel!). The big downside was security. The front door doesn't lock, and there's a separate open door to the outside near the bottom of the stairs that lead directly to the rooms. Three girls in my room had things stolen one night/morning, and unfortunately it wasn't a huge surprise. There's a currently a very clear risk that someone could just walk in from outside and steal things. Always lock the shared room door, and never leave your belongings/valuables out--always take them with you or lock them up in the drawer provided!

Lift faulty
Although I have book 1 nite stay at the hotel, but I did not manage to stay there. My wife do not like the Bathroom is outside of the hotel room as I did not informed her that there is no bathroom inside the hotel room.
So I have to check out immediately as my wife do not like the room.
Another issue for the hotel is that there is only 1 left and it is out of order. Me and my wife have to carry our luggage walking up the stairs to the 5th Floor. No one is helping us with all our luggage.

Suitable hostel especially for backpackers. The room was very clean but they should improve their room smells because some foreigners bringing their shoe inside the room. They also should clean their toilet regularly and open more toilet to avoid people waiting. After all, I'm very enjoy my holiday while staying at your hostel.
This is a great little hostel, located within walking distance of the hustle and bustle of Georgetown. The room (double) was clean and was quiet despite being set back from a main road. I have to say the included breakfast wasn't that amazing (cup of tea and a piece of toast) but the kitchen area/relaxation area is well set out with a nice view of the streets below. For breakfast just head 30 seconds down the road for local Roti Canai, so good and rammed with locals, only 7RM. The hotel was clean with friendly staff. Good Wifi too. I would happily stay here again on my next visit to Penang.
Overall it's a good hostel. The beds are comfy and the lockers are big. I was in a female dorm on the 1st floor and there wasn't any WiFi. I could sometimes connect to the 2nd floor WiFi but it wasn't strong. One of the other girls in the room mentioned the issue to the staff but I don't think it was fixed. The lounge is nice to relax and there are small kitchen appliances if you want to heat up some food.
PROS: The hostel is brand new and very clean. The rooms were very comfortable- nice mattress, nice locker, and the bathroom was quite nice- I liked that they were private units with shower toilet and sink. The location is good- not so far from the center of Georgetown.
CONS: I wouldn't stay here if you are looking to meet people. It felt very stale to me. The staff was nice but not warm or particularly helpful or welcoming. Whenever I was in the lounge it was very quiet, and usually only one or two others hanging out there. Overall, the building felt extremely quiet while I was there- the lounge upstairs and the lobby are very separate from the dorm rooms (it is five floors).
Amazing! Very clean and service was good. I enjoyed the common lounge and the toilets are all clean too.
Every signature and iconic food places are all within walking distance.
For instance, nasi melayu minang, just across the road
Assam laksa and famous chendol from Joo Hooi, 10 min walk.
Roti canai, 5 min walk
Pop arts or iconic pictures/wall painting, 20 min into georgetown.
Will definitely book here again. Highly recommended!
The hostel was clean and modern. There were many shared bathrooms on each floor so we never had to wait to use a shower. The walls were pretty thin, but it is not a party hostel, so it was generally not a problem. The common space was beautiful. Tip - if you're heading to the langkawi ferry, be sure to double check your directions. We asked the woman at the front desk several times, even though she insisted she was sending us to the right ferry, it was incorrect and we had to run with all of our luggage from one port to another almost missing the ferry altogether.
