Comfortable and Cozy Chalet
Check in was easy at main lobby. Finding our chalet at night was slightly difficult with several narrow roadways and dozens of chalets side-by-side with tight parking spaces. Once we found our cabin, all parking spaces were taken and we had to park our 3 vehicles in various spaces from one another and walk a distance to unload our luggage. Upon entering, there was a bad smell throughout. Not sure if it came from the old wood, carpet or what, but we had to use room deodorants to mask smell. The chalet was larger than we expected. We had plenty of room for 3 adults and 3 children. Very comfortable king size bed in both bedrooms with 2 twin beds in spacious loft. Flat screen television with wifi in every main room. Pull-out sofa in living room had 1 blanket but no sheets to use. We had to pull sheet off one king bed to use for sleeper. Both bathrooms were well stocked with towels and very clean. Kitchen area is tiny but had a fair amount of utensils, pots, pans, large mixing bowls and other necessities to use for cooking. Place setting for 10 is available with plenty of coffee cups and glasses. Standard coffee maker, toaster, microwave, stove, dishwasher, refrigerator all worked great for us. There was no electric can opener; only a handheld available in drawer with cooking utensils. Dining area in front of kitchen seats 6. Smart washer and dryer was nice to have on site as well. There are 2 small outside decks on back of chalet overlooking wooded area with main road below. I enjoyed having my coffee in the cool morning mountain air while sitting at patio table on the deck off the dining area or master bedroom. However, the traffic at the bottom of the hill at the back of chalet can be noisy at times. Overall, we enjoyed our stay with no major issues other than parking. We did arrive at a very busy time of year with a lot of traffic to navigate.
