Hotel has large grounds to walk and pool and sauna areas were nice. However, the facility is not as expected. There was some sort of construction occurring in the main building and it was very loud and began early in the morning. We had booked two regular rooms and one of the premium rooms. The regular rooms were smaller than anticipated. The premium room had cobwebs, a couple of spiders, and a curtain to the balcony that didn’t fully close. Perhaps if we had booked rooms in the newer building we would not have had these issues. The premium room is definitely not worth the $200/night.

Quiet hotel in nice country setting

Spa perfection
This Hotel was imaculately clean, beautifully presented; service was exceptional, especially at reception, in the restaurant and at the spa. Having the pool and jacuzzi to myself was perfect.The only downside was that the location is a village called Petersfeld, not Garrel, which is the main town and the name of the surrounding area - this made locating the hotel a little difficult at the end of a hot and tiring day.

A great hotel situated with the added bonus of modern spa facilities. Friendly and helpful staff ensured all queries were handled quickly and effectively. The only downside/negative aspect was the lack of English menu at the restaurant - that may sound rather trivial, but it made ordering an absolute nightmare. The restaurant staff could not speak English either, so we really were ordering food completely blind.... a small detail, but one worth mentioning.

Ruhige Lage und schöner Spa-Bereich. Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption kompetent und lösungsorientiert. Solides Frühstücksbuffet, frisch zubereitete Eierspeisen wären jedoch wünschenswert. Superior-Zimmer mit ansprechendem Design und schönem Waldblick, Zimmer im Hauptgebäude leider schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen.

We choose a standard room but i was more than good. The Facilitys and spa was clean and nice. Surrounding area was altso very beutiful with a neaby lake for a walk. We ate at the restaurent in the hotel and again we where very satisfied with both quality and price.

Tolles Hotel, gerne wieder
Tolles Hotel, total ruhige Lage am Waldrand, kostenlose Parkplätze davor. Nur blöd wenn ältere Menschen sich nachts um drei Uhr laut rufend unterhalten. Sehr schöner Restaurantbereich, guter Service und eine tolle Saunalandschaft. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist groß und ausreichend, wir haben nur ein paar Nüsse für´s Müsli vermisst. Was wir nicht vetsehen, ist, dass im Wellnessbereich kein Bedienservice stattfindet. Nur Wasser oder Fanta-, Cola-, Bierdosen sind weit unter dem Niveau des Hotels, warum wird dort nicht Kaffee und Kuchen angeboten? Oder auch Wein, Bier, Aperol von mir aus auch hochwertigen Kunststoffgefäßen, so kenne ich das aus Hotels in Österreich. Das würde neben einem zusätzlichen Umsatz auch den Aufenthalt aufwerten. Mit dem einen dort eingenommenen Abendessen waren wir zum Teil nicht ganz zufrieden, das ist vielleicht mit dem derzeitigen Umbau der Küche und entsprechenden Einschärnkungen zu erklären bzw. zu entschuldigen. Etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig aber sehr umfangreich ist die Lichtschaltung im Zimmer, da muss man sich mit beschäftigen. Die Lage ist sehr nah an der Talsperre, von wo es sich gut wandern lässt und zum Golfpaltz Thülsfelder Talsperre sind es auch nur 5 Minuten mit dem Auto.
