Good position, east to find, nice outlook. Accommodated a sl8ghtly early check in. Cleanliness left something to be desired, lots of dust and cobwebs - hadn't been dusted properly in some time.

Pros: Unique
Cons: Nothing
Great to stay in a 'one off' hotel. So many hotels make you feel that you could be anywhere, every room, every lobby, every restaurant is identical, you could be anywhere in the world. It's so refreshing to stay somewhere unique. Yes, there's a lot of building work going on, but unless you're going to lie in bed all day......and who does that on vacation...... it really isn't a problem. Wonderful staff.....so friendly and welcoming. Great touch of tea and scones in the afternoon. Reasonably priced bar and bar snacks, so popular it was filled with locals as well as residents. Rooms are quite small, we had a roll out bed for daughter which made the room very snug. No TV which was quite a refreshing change, and the sherry was a lovely touch. Be aware this an old hotel so the floorboards creak....a lot! Would love to return in better weather to sit on the terrace and paddle at the private beach.
