Wonderful stay in beautiful unit!!
This is a very pretty unit with immaculate views. Check in was easy and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Would definitely recommend this unit and we will stay here again if we can.

Not the best stay !
This was our worst stay ever at this property. The condo smelled and needed repair. The wall paper was peeling off the bed room wall the curtains were dirty and stained. The bath tub was moldy , the bar was buckling and taped down with some painters tape there was unpainted repaired sheet rock in the hall way. We found out after check in when we called manager Ron unclog the stopped up kitchen sink the condo had recent water damage from a storm and that I fact all the condos room in water and had water running down the walls ? Which would explain the bad odor of mold in the co so … I feel these things and the recent damage should have been disclosed prior to renting the unit !

Filthy wasted a day cleaning
So this is actually owned and operated by VACASA and not an individual. The ac was not working and the floor was covered in standing dirty water by ac hallway, kitchen and bathroom. Leftover trash from previous guests and everything was so dirty I had to go buy cleaning supply and clean the whole place myself. The floor was so dirty it stained my socks. I had to contact Vacasa numerously they were quick to get back with me until I ask for compensation due to all the crazy things we found an issues and they ghosted me. The resort and location were awesome. I could say more but its so much it wouldn't fit. I dont complain usually but this was awful.

It was a great location, but an older unit, that needed some updating (art work, microwave and stovetop, couch was really hard), but was functional (good fridge, dishwasher, mattress, etc.) Needs to fix the blinds in the den some are missing and so light comes in and no privacy.

Overall we had a good time. Although, the floors were dirty, sliding doors would barely open, silverware dirty, moldy grout in the bathtub. The air conditioner was great! We love the San Luis. Unfortunately we will not rent this unit again.

The property was filthy. I took pictures and sent them to a Vrbo rep. I tried to get in touch with the property that had the listing and the numbers were not correct. I finally got in touch with a voicemail and left 2 messages and no one ever got back to me. We did not stay at the property at all because it was disgusting.

Great location on the Seawall. Nice view.
Excellent beach location and resort amenities. The room needs updating. The curtains were old and dingy and difficult to open and close. A few minor things would make this unit nicer. It’s a shame to have such a nice place and not give it the attention it needs. No pride in ownership with this unit. The resort is really nice.

Lovely place. Excellent amenities. We'll maintained.
Our unit has been updated. New sofa bed, fresh paint, new flooring. Appliances are outdated but functional. Amazing view from two balconies. San Luis poolside drinks were very overpriced. The hotel is very amply staffed. The staff are courteous and helpful. The condo office seems understaffed and not so eager to help. Several times we noted that no one was in the office at all.

We really like the condo resort area. But the condo needs to be updated and cleaned. The front left burner on the stove didn't work. The water doesn't drain while you are taking a shower. The curtains in the bedroom are so dirty - they need replaced. The pictures showed a tv in the bedroom - which it didn't have. The tv is the old box tv and small. The sliding doors to the balcony do not slide well. We can tell it was nice at one time. But it definitely needs an update. My husband ended up with the flu and we had to leave early - so didn't get a chance to enjoy the area. However, we do plan on returning when the weather is better.

Unit is very run down. Condition of the appliances, tv, carpeting is at least 20 years old
Unit is very run down. Carpet frayed in several locations, television (only one) is at least 20 years old. Patio doors are very hard to open. Blinds on door in living room are falling apart. One of the dinning room chairs is missing a leg. Appliances are all 20 or more years old. The heated pool and hot tub were both closed for remodeling ( this was not told to us before we booked the rental). Whole it does say that the laundry is shared, what it doesn’t say is that it is a coin operated washer and dryer in a closet on a different level ( so you have to pay if you want to use it) Fan in the bathroom makes an awful rattling noise when it is on ( no way to just have the light on they are connected on one switch). It is definitely not in a condition that I would expect from both my experiences with the Homeaway rentals we have used in the past or the quality of the San Luis Resort ( though I do understand that the condos are owned by individuals) I would still expect the quality to be decent to have the name attached to it. And for the amount of money spent on it, I would expect more for that kind of money. It is very disappointing and we will now have to think twice about renting through this site again.

Complex lovely; condo needs updating!
San Luis resort itself is lovely with a nice pool and great Landry's restaurants on site. Condo itself looked to have original cabinets and counters from when it was built in 1985. Furnishing also looked old, but probably not 1985. We bought a sharp chef knife and left it out of sympathy since the unit only had one small sharp knife and no cutting board. Electric can opener was broken and the manual one they replaced it with broke after opening 1.5 cans. Cold water pressure was almost non-existant. Sliding doors and locking mechanism to decks outside did not work. VaCasa was responsive but unable to correct all issues while we were there. Some light switches either didn't work or bulbs were burned out and missing. Complex elevators were reliable and quick, probably didn't wait more than 20 seconds for an elevator during our 5 day stay.

The property was not rental-ready. Multiple offenses were found during our stay. We will not go back
- No cooking knives in the kitchen so we could not cook several meals we brought. - There were staples exposed in two areas where the carpet joined with the tile (in the kitchen and the bathroom) so you could not walk barefoot over those areas without poking your feet. - Several lamps light bulbs were out. - One wall of outlets in the living room did not work (this is where the TV and radio are plugged in) so we were unable to watch TV or listen to music without using an extension cord. This wall also had the dining chandelier plugged in so this was unusable. - The outlet in the bathroom did not work so we could not use the hairdryer in the bathroom. - There are ants in the kitchen. - No water pressure in any room for cold water. - Foul smelling liquid in the bottom of the trash can. - On the last day as we were cleaning up and collecting our things, we found dirty women's lingerie and a dried piece of toast in between the bed and the nightstand. We were pretty disgusted so maybe it was a good thing we didn't see that on day 1. - The fold out bed did not have linens or clean pillows ready for us, so a staff member had to drop those off to us on the first night. We were grateful for his response and quick communication, but this did not make up for all the other offenses.

At first I noticed the balcony and view
Honestly, this place is a little run down and not at all updated (very old microwave, a door under sink had issues, the furniture and decor are old- but not too bad, the coffee maker, also old, did not work). However, the price was great. We feel like it was priced accordingly, the views are amazing, there is a Starbucks in the resort so we're able to get coffee easily enough. The kids (1.5 year old and 14 year old) both loved being able to use the pool at the resort and all the great amenities as well!!!! We had a lot of fun, but realize others may not if they are expecting perfection in the condo. We feel like it was a great price and were willing to make compromises due to that. We booked through Vacasa and they put wrong address on paperwork. Hopefully that is fixed, because it caused great confusion on where to find key for condo. Also, one of the women spoke rudely to me when I asked before heading out to clarify the directions to pick up the key. She stated that I was sent directions and needed to read them. After explaining I did print out about 10 pages of instructions, read them, and still was confused... She did double check, admit they were difficult and became much nicer. As for the condo, our family will most likely be back as long as the price is kept down.
