Just a block from the best restaurants, bars and shopping on the Island, the location cannot be beat. With a king size bed in the master bedroom, and a full sleeper sofa in the living room, the loft comfortably sleeps up to 3 people. Whether you’re looking to spend time on The Strand, the beach, or a quick overnight before a cruise departure, this loft is the perfect home base for your trip. THERE IS NO ELEVATOR IN THIS BUILDING. IT IS ALL ONLY STAIRS!

Location: Historic Downtown area of Galveston, Texas, half mile from cruise ship terminal.

Beach access: Less than a 4 minute drive from the beaches at the Seawall.

WIFI: Free high-speed WIFI is available throughout the home.

Cable: We provide Roku with access to Sling TV for live television channels. Guests are welcome to log into their own Amazon Prime, Netflix, or other streaming service apps as well.

Pet policy: One pet is welcome in our home with a $25 fee per pet. We ask that pets stay off all furniture, are cleaned up after in the yard, and aren't left alone inside the home unless in a crate or kennel. Please message us if you’re planning on bringing your furry friend!

Parking: Paid street parking options on the streets surrounding the building.

Party Policy: No parties are allowed at our home. Please look elsewhere if that is the intent of your trip.

- Any damages to the house or property during your stay will result in a deduction or additional charge for the resulting repair/replacement cost.
- All pets must be approved by our team, stay off of all furniture, be cleaned up after, and not left alone inside the home unless in a kennel.
- Do not turn the AC below 70 degrees. If you do, you will risk the AC unit freezing up, requiring it to thaw out which will result in the home getting extremely warm.
- Should an eviction occur due to breaking house rules (noise ordinance violations, excessive guests and/or vehicles beyond the agreed amount), there will be an $850 fine.

Lovely place

The flat was very cozy. It was clean and comfortable. The star rating was given due to a few things. Thursday night at 4:30am the large trash bins (multiple) were picked up. Loud banging and metal scraping woke us up. Secondly the street parking was not clearly explained. We faithfully moved the truck every two hours from 9-5 on church street. After getting a ticket we found out that you are not allowed to park on the same street more than two hours within a 12 hour period. Was not clearly stated anywhere. We were informed by parking patrol after asking. Thirdly,we were unable to get WiFi to work even after discussing it with management. The location was wonderful but with the other situations I would probably not stay there again

Great location!

Location is great, near Post Office shopping, and The Strand. The “not again” for me was no working elevator. We were on the 3rd floor, and we are not Spring chickens. This is stated in the description, but of course I noticed too late. We normally stay at The Tremont, but tried something different this time. I don’t see myself staying here again because of the elevator.

Wonderful place but best for the young and strong

This is a tough review. My gf and I liked the condo itself just fine. We appreciated that it was an older building and had charm that newer places lack. It was well maintained and clean. All appliances were in good working order. The kitchen had plenty of gadgets. It was a short walk to some restaurants that we liked a lot and now that we're back home have begun to miss.The only problem for us was the lack of an elevator. The current listing now points it out in capital letters, but if it was there before, I sure missed it so that oversight would be on me. I'm in my 60s and having to schlepp our luggage up and down two flights of stairs was pretty stressful. We were doing a short pre-cruise stay so had tons of extra stuff. If I were 20 years younger or if I had less luggage, I'd have no problem recommending this place to everybody, but if you're an old guy like me with a dodgy hip and a gf who packs 21 outfits for a 7 day cruise, then those stairs are trouble.

I can not express how amazing this place is! This place looks amazing and felt so homey. Both the owner and property manager are amazing people and are great with communication. They truly care about there guest and really helped us when we truly needed it! I highly recommend booking here! You won’t regret it!

Very pleased with the location of the property, close walking distance to the strand, historical downtown where all the shops in restaurants are. Could have wished for a place. Host was very quick to respond with any questions I had prior to or during stay. They have several options in the building. Do yourself a favor and book your stay with Beach Box Rentals.

Great location for a great price. Walking distance to the Strand is great. The building is quite old, but nice enough on the inside. The area was loud even around 10:30 (Saturday) and it could be heard in the apartment - but I got to sleep eventually.

Nice stay in Galveston

Nice sized 1 bedroom historic property in a great location. Easy walk to the restaurants, bars and shops on Strand. Had issues finding the property as there were no signs and it did not look like the external image on the posting. There is no onsite parking, making it a challenge to offload bags.

We had a wonderful experience staying at the historical loft! It was so spacious and nicely furnished with a beautiful kitchen! We loved staying here instead of the beach because it was so close to other points of interest and the beach is less than a five minute drive! We can’t wait to return to the loft on our next visit!

Nice loft near the Strand

Property was clean with good amenities. Furniture is in good shape. A working elevator would be nice. Parking overnight on the street was not a problem. Area appears a bit run down but we never felt unsafe even at night. Good access to the the Strand, bars and restaurants.

Although we enjoyed our stay and were very comfortable we had a few issues. Extra towels were placed in blanket basket on the floor in the living room and did not find them till day of check out. That was very disappointing. Directions about where to place garbage was unavailable. An info sheet should be placed inside unit.

Galveston pre-cruise overnight stay

Property was as described. In walking distance to restaurants. Building is older and has been nicely remodeled. Currently no working elevator, but that was not an issue for us. No fault of the property, but it was a little noisy outside overnight and could hear almost everything going on even being on the third floor (recommend bringing earplugs if a light sleeper). Overall, would recommend this stay.
