Must be 25 to rent.

The space
Adorable 2-bedroom, 1-bath cottage centrally located in the heart of Galveston. ‘Galveston’s famous Shrimp ‘N Stuff is just across the street, and they have the best fresh Gulf shrimp po-boys and shrimp tacos.’ Built in 1917 and has all the charm you’d expect from an 103-year-old house. It isn’t “perfect”, but its imperfections are what give it character. Huge windows, high ceilings and fresh colors to help guests unwind and relax. Updated with all of today’s modern luxuries, including WiFi, pack n play, large screen TVs with Roku’s to watch all your favorite streaming sites, bicycles & covered trailers and family beach gear. The house can sleep up 8 people comfortably with 3 queen beds in the 2 bedrooms and a queen sofa sleeper in the living room. A spacious bathroom has a shower/jacuzzi tub combo perfect for the little ones after a day at the beach. The fully stocked kitchen includes all the amenities for fabulous dining and seating for 6, with additional seating on the spacious backyard deck. A full-sized washer and dryer are provided for your convenience. The property is fully fenced and pet friendly (with fee). Lovely balconies off both the front and back of the house to enjoy your morning coffee or evening cocktail. Plenty of outdoor seating in the back yard to enjoy the island breeze. It's the perfect place to get away and relax! Approximately 9 blocks to the Seawall promenade and its free beach or the Strand with dining and shopping, and just a 10 minute car ride to the Galveston cruise port. Walking distance to Shrimp 'N Stuff and Lasker park and community pool. Bleu Haus Beach House has garage & driveway parking for a small vehicle and street parking on a first come first serve basis. Please be kind to our neighbors and do not block their driveways. Our professional cleaning team is following the CDC guidelines for disinfecting buildings and facilities between every guest stay. NO PARTIES/EVENTS INCLUDING: PROM, GRADUATION, BACHELOR/ETTE, BIRTHDAYS, TEEN or WEDDING groups GUESTS WHO BOOK MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OLD DOGS ALLOWED ONLY WITH PRE-APPROVAL FROM OWNERS. There is an additional fee for dogs. Please let us know age(s) and weight(s) of dogs when asking to bring dogs. THERE IS AN ADDITIONAL PER NIGHT PER PET FEE depending upon number and size of pet(s). Note: NO puppies; must be at least 1 year old and under 50 pounds; max of 2 dogs. Check in any time after 3PM, check out no later than 11AM. Early check in/late check out can be requested 24 hours ahead of arrival and is provided ONLY if no guests depart/arrive same day. There are security cameras on the property but none face any interior of the home. A camera is on the front deck facing the driveway, and there are cameras facing the back yard.

Has potential
The house has potential to be good. The location was good and amenities are what a traveling family needs. However, it needs a good cleaning and had an unpleasant smell. The living room tv didn’t turn on, bedroom drawers didn’t have knobs, lamp lacked a knob and couldn’t be used, hot tub smelled bad. It had character and was cute but it needed some love.

It was a nice house. There where a few bumps like I didn't know the oven didn't work so we had to make do and there was a repair man fixing the railing which we didn't mind but then we had a surprise man there to fix the broken garage door. In all it had its ups and downs but it was a nice house

Very comfortable stay!
This house has everything! All kitchen utensils, dishwasher, washer/dryer, 3 beds and a pull out bed on the couch (not so comfortable) but this house has everything needed for a comfortable stay. Plenty of sheets and towels. Close to the sea wall with a hot tub and patio in the back yard. We didn’t use the bikes available but they were a nice touch. The owner has great communication. We hope to be back!

we enjoyed our stay at the Blue Haus.. the house is old, could use some updating, but overall, worth the money spent. we had an issue with the hot tub, we txt Kevin and he sent someone right over and took care of it. -everything was clean, except for the dog hair everywhere. i knew i booked a house that allowed pets, but didnt think of the dog hair left behind. this would be my only complaint, but its a dog friendly house so its shuld be expected... -there are pots/pans, utensils, blender, coffee maker, and a kurig. -there isnt much else in the kitchen...i left some coffee filters since there wasnt any. -bring your own coffee, sugar, creamer, spices, and what ever else you would like for the kitchen... -there is a webber grill in backyard, bring your charcoal. -he has a nice fire pit in backyard as well, i brought my own propane tank so i woulndt need to refill theirs. -Hot Tub was nice, had privacy when you slide the cover off to the side. -theres a tv mounted right by the hot tub to watch while soaking. -all of the TVs are "app" tvs, and not any local channels. - Shrimp n Stuff is about 3 houses down, great food. -Kevin, the owner, was very responsive to any questions or concerns. - would reccomend this place to stay

A wonderful stay
This lovely home was a joy. It has great energy upon entry. There are all sorts of wonderful finds in this rental. From the lovey entertaining area to the additions for our younger kids. Very clean and overall a fantastic experience. Even when there was a question about a situation, the property owner was quick to be of assistance. This will be a rental that my family will happily rent again. Matter of fact my youngest was upset that we were not staying longer.

Quick Trip to Paradise
We only stayed over night but we had the time of our lives. Beds were extremely comfortable. Super nice quality bedding as well. We did have a little hiccup with the hot tub draining on us but overall we loved this house and would love to return to it.

Not what was expected
When pulling up to the house we were automatically disappointed in the cleanliness and up keep of the outside. The house itself was filthy on the outside. Patio furniture was dusty and dirty and the backyard was not kept. I spent two hours cleaning with a Waterhose the furniture. We found broken glass bottle by the jacuzzi and trash “that was missed by the lawn people” impossible to miss. We had a leak in the roof that was dripping on Saturday when it rained. Which he did come out to handle. Sunday we get a txt if our chickens were running around in the back. Not our chickens but found out there are cameras in the back one facing jacuzzi which were being checked apparently. AC guy shows up unannounced prior to us checking out on Monday stating he was sent to check AC. Asked if he could wait and mentioned that it would only take 5 mins and that the owner stated he thought we would be gone by now. It was 10:15. Check out is at 11am. He is very responsive but the whole experience was not favorable. We have pictures and we shared all with owner to make aware. Just thought I would share my experience as I based my selection on reviews.
