Welcome to Blue Marlin! Classic beachside home located in family friendly Pirates Beach subdivision. Blue Marlin has high vaulted ceilings and open concept living, dining, kitchen area. Large uncovered deck for enjoying summer lunches or relaxing in the sun.

This 1330 sq ft home features separate ground level living with a bedroom, full bath with large walk in shower and a steam/dry sauna. Custom built sauna accessed from the bathroom. The layout of this home is great for families or a couples retreat. Each of the four bedrooms features a TV with Cable connection or a DVD player. Please note that the downstairs is a separate entrance from the main house.

The beach is just a short walk away for hours of fun in the sun. The downstairs shaded area is a great place to bbq and eat a meal at the table. Or just relax and enjoy the cool Gulf breeze.

Please note this home does not allow pets.

During the summer months this home has a 3 night minimum.

Ground Level: Parking for 4 vehicles; No Garage Access; Sitting area with outdoor furniture; Outdoor Shower. Bedroom with two twin beds, TV, private bathroom with tiled walk in shower, Steam/Dry Sauna.

Main Level: Open concept living room and dining; Kitchen off of dining area. Bedroom with 2 Twin beds and TV; Bedroom with Queen bed and TV; Hall bathroom with combo tub/shower; Master Bedroom has a King bed, TV, private half bath with privacy door to hall full bathroom for use of the tub/shower.

This home works great with Island Breeze.

Location: 4 minutes to the beach; 9 mile drive to 61st Street; 12 mile drive to 25th & Strand; 8.2 miles to Moody Gardens/Schlitterbahn Waterpark.

Notes: Although provided, WiFi access/Cable/Dish service can be unreliable here on the West End of Galveston Island. We apologize, but Gary Greene Vacation Rentals is unable to guarantee these amenities will be working during your stay and is unable to offer refunds for disruption of these services.

Great spot!
It's an older property but a lot of it has been remodeled. We have 3 kids there (4, 2.5 and 1) and while it's only a short walk to the beach (7-10 minutes), I wish it had been a block shorter to be ideal with kids that small. Overall, I'd highly recommend it!

Thoughtfully equipped space. Local host responded to inquiries quickly; and left useful information about the space for quick reference. Great, friendly neighborhood with a short walk to West Beach. (No driving allowed on West Beach so great for families with small children.)

Nice place!
This was a nice place to stay for our family. We didn’t realize that the 4th room was not directly connected to the rest of the house which left our teenager alone each night. He loved it though! A few pantry staples would have been helpful but the appliances, table settings, and cookware were plenty. Beach access was an easy walk and the neighborhood was quiet.

Great vacation rental
This house was great for our family vacation! There was 9 of us and it was very comfortable for everyone. Location is great, close to the beach within walking distance and close to town with many fun things to do. Quiet neighborhood perfect for families. The dishwasher didnt work during our stay but that was really no big deal. The living room tv also went out during our stay but again it was no big deal and i would recommend this house to anyone ! It was clean and nicely remodeled felt like home for our week stay.

Perfect Place
Blue Marlin was just perfect for our family and friend weekend. It was one of the cleanest places I have ever rented. The management company answered all my question promptly. Such a pretty place too. We can’t wait to go back.

PERFECTION
This house was seriously perfect. It was beautiful, stocked, well maintained, and close to the beach. We will definitely stay here many many many more times. The entire family enjoyed the home and continue to talk about how nice the house and area were even three weeks later.

Beautiful Bungalow
Thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Blue Marlin. This is a very well appointed beach bungalow. I was most impressed with the way the kitchen had excellent dishes, bakeware, and utensils. Our family's stay was pleasant and so comfortable. Great bathrooms! Beautiful bedrooms! Excellent customer service!

We loved the location of the home and the feel of the neighborhood. It was very special that it had a sauna - don't find that often. Our son is a crossfit instructor and THAT was his big treat! The cabin was actually VERY clean, but the sofas looked dirty because they are old, but I loved the abundance of seating. The dining chairs did not roll smoothly, but well enough. The kitched was well equipped. We loved the openness to the livng area. Most of the blinds did not work well in the living area and took extra care to open and close. Many slats were missing on the double-glass doors, so there was no real privacy at night. We enjoyed games at the dining table and sitting on the deck at night. Didn't use the beds downstairs. We picked up our 89-year-old mil to spend an afternoon/dinner with us, and she was able to get up the stairs, so we loved that it wasn't a home really high up off the ground. We'd thought about bringing a table for downstairs to have dinner with her there in case she could not make it up the stairs, but saw that there was one down there in the pics. However, when we arrived, we found the table was very tiny . We could not get the downstairs shower to work. It was a last-minute trip. We would rent the cabin again for sure. Shower pressure upstairs was good. Beds were comfy. Didn't use the two beds downstairs, but they looked comfy! We have an extra charge on our credit card, though, and are waiting to find out what that is about.

Nice Labor Day weekend
Property has a great location, short walk to the beach and easy access to the rest of the island. The house is charming but the furnishings and finishes are a bit dated. The kitchen was stocked with every appliance and piece of cookware that you could ever need. Overall this was a great choice for our family for a three-day getaway. The property management was exceptional and responded to our inquiries almost immediately.

Good location, a couple of minutes to the beach entrance. Highly suggest renting a golf cart as it'd be a bit of a haul with kids and items. The fourth bedroom and second bathroom are downstairs which is accessible via exterior stairs (no interior stairs).

Happy Times
We had a great time at this property. We had just enough space for the family to enjoy their selves. A couple of things that we saw needed attention. The upstairs outdoor table has a chair that is broken. The couch in the living room has a sharp piece sticking off it. The space to walk between the couch and the bar is tight and one person got scratch by the couch. The dishwasher was hard to figure out and it’s very tight fitting in the kitchen. Overall small fixes and we had a great time.

We had a good stay, but the upstairs shower wasn't working and we had power go out in the downstairs area that involved an electrician. The management company responded and had someone out in 12 hours to fix the electrical, but couldn't get anyone to fix the shower.

Great long weekend stay
This was as advertised. Property is old but has been cleaned and is fully functional. Beds were comfortable for a longer stay (have stayed in other rentals where they were not). We only stayed in the upstairs as that had enough space for our family so can’t comment on the additional quarters downstairs. Would stay again.
