The hotel was pretty old and therefore needed a lot of upgrades to make it nicer. The shower had grime and slime along the bottom of the shower door, the bathroom sink overflow drainage had mold growing in it with other people's hair in it, the room floors were dirty as your bare feet were soiled after walking on the floor, and there was a very strange odor to the building (chemical smell?). The WiFi system was pitiful and other guests staying there told me the same thing when I asked them if they had problems with the system. I would not stay here again. It just was not a pleasant experience. Just telling it like it is. On a positive note, the front desk employees were very polite and did their best to resolve the WiFi issues.

Property was clean and loved the location close to the beach. Breakfast was very good and well stocked. The bed and mattress were uncomfortable And the overall condition of the inside could use some updating.

The location was fantastic!! Just a walk across the street and your on the beach. I loved that every room overlooks the ocean...breakfast was great...lots of seating area. Staff was super friendly. It was a great place to stay

Our room was very nice and clean. We enjoyed our gulf view room very much. The beds were comfortable. I would recommend this hotel for a stay in Galveston.

My only complaint was the early morning fire alarm check. It woke us up and scared us out of bed. Seemed unnecessary to be that time of the day. Otherwise the place was great.

Staff open our room twice, even though I had a no disturb sign outside on the door, after the second time we got a phone call from the lobby and they make me go down stairs to explain to them who I was and why I was on that room, I show the receptionist my key, I had to give her my name again, I told her that they open my room twice and she just reply by saying “I know” like if it wasn’t a big deal, I ask her why and she said that the staff reported that room as vacant and that our room was on a different floor so I show her my keys and the envelope with the room number and she just simply said that it was now fix, I then ask her how come it took two times for the staff to open the room twice in two hours and they never nock before they opened it and again she just told me again “is ok is fix now.

Fantastic
Everybody who works here is so nice. The room was very clean and larger than I expected. Breakfast was great and overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Galveston.
