The holiday apartment is located at the beginning of the village Frutigen. There are only a few minutes to the city, bus station and the rail station.

Locations and arrival: Frutigen 800 m - this impressive regional centre lies in the heart for the Kander vally. Its infrastructure makes in the ideal excursion destination for inspiring outings (Adelboden.16km). The Adelboden-Frutigen holiday and leisure region is situated in the Bernese Oberland, approx. 15km south of lake Thun. It can be reached easily by public and as well by private transportations from all directions. Till Frutigen good Train connection. Train connection from Airport Zürich to Spiez, change to Frutigen, also good trail connections from Frutigen to Interlaken, Thun, Bern ect. A bus service operates between Frutigen stations and Adelboden, Kandersteg. International flight connections to Basel, Bern, Geneva and Zürich.

Walking region: From Frutigen you are in 20 minutes in Adelboden-Silleren, Engstligenalp. Also in Kandersteg (Oeschinensee). In 15 minutes you reach the walking region Elsigenalp and Kiental.

Perfect family chalet
My family and I really enjoyed our stay in Frutigen. The chalet was perfect for the four of us in a great location with plenty of amenities and walking distance to the train station. Interlaken was just an hour on the train. The chalet had everything we needed with ample cooking facilities dishwasher we were able to wash our clothes. The kitchen was kitted out better than my kitchen at home. Really loved our stay and will go back again in the future.

Great Property in great location!
This was a great place to stay and had everything we needed. The views from the property were beautiful and the garden at the back was a nice place to sit. Gudrun was a lovely host and looked after us well. We would definitely recommend.

Beautiful rental
We had the most wonderful time here. Frutigen is just the most darling town, and the grocery store was only about a 5 minute walk from the apartment. When you walk out the front door, the mountains take your breath away. It never got old. The owner was so kind, and so helpful with all of our questions. She walked us through the entire check-in, so that we understood how everything worked and where everything was located. Everything was clean and there wasn’t one thing we lacked. The beds were incredibly comfortable. We truly had an amazing time. Frutigen is centrally located to everything we wanted to see. We couldn’t have picked a more perfect spot. We will be back. Family of 5 (17,16,12) from Virginia.

This apartment is in a great location in the Bernese Oberland. Great small town close to lots of fantastic hikes. Frau Steiner is such a gracious host, and the apartment is the best equipped property rental I’ve ever been to, including plentiful plates, cutlery, cooking utensils - even a fondue pot and raclette grill! The property has amazing views of the mountains, and we even heard an alpenhorn practice while sitting on the terrace eating dinner one evening. You can’t get more Swiss than that!

Nice lower level apartment close to Interlaken and other hiking areas. Hosts were very nice and responsive and helpful. Price is very reasonable and the town is quaint and has a few local eateries. Train does run through back yard but it is not too disruptive. We slept great after busy days out hiking. Overall a very nice find.

Great location, painless checkin, and you are truly in Switzerland (unlike Interlaken).
Gudrun is very pleasant and helpful, and the checkin was immediate and painless (that alone is worth the stay!). And then she leaves you alone :-). The views out front are priceless (google Frutigen, that photo is it), and views out back even better (glaciated peaks). It is close to everything (Lauterbrunnen, Jungfrau... and Interlaken; avoid the latter, it is a tacky tourist pit). And closer to places you would otherwise miss... Adelboden = 1500 ft waterfall 20 mins away, the longest suspension bridge in Europe 15 mins away, Niesenbahn funicular and the associated 7000ft monodnock (lone pyramid) peak, and miles of hiking/running trails right out the door (they have an excellent, well maintained, and underutilized system that goes anywhere you can drive, and more). The town itself is great, you are really part of Switzerland there, if you are considering this country I would highly recommend it, it beat all expectations, and if concerned about cost simply shop and eat in sometimes, groceries are cheaper than at home (Vermont USA)... plus you get to interact more with locals that way (Frutigen is a wonderful town). I would highly recommend this to anyone serious about immersing themselves in the country and not just looking to be around other tourists, and the geography can't be beat. Thanks again Gudrun for a wonderful stay.

Gudrun was exceptionally nice and helpful. As "starred", the place is very clean, with everything functional, and comfortable. The kitchen is well-equipped, and Gudrun has thoughtfully provided coffee, sugar and other items. If we are in the area again, I would definitely return to stay here. Oh ... I should at least mention that there is a train track near the back of the apartment. It is well-insulated, so the noise did not pose a problem for us, but it could if you are really sensitive to noise; otherwise, it is as quiet as staying in the country.

Fantastic to Stay
The property was exactly as described. The host was really kind and helpful to us. I totally recommend this place if you want to explore the nature in Switzerland. You can easily access to many corners of the country by two hours drive maximum.

Cute little house
We had a very wonderful time in this house. Host was so friendly , and the house was so clean. This house is close to main road, and few restaurant close-by. Even though there is train track close by, trust me there was absolutely no disturbance of the noise. Excellent house, and beautiful surroundings. Highly recommend.

I am Prabhu Kumar. I have stayed in this apartment for 2 nights. The house owner is very sweet. She gave us guest pass for local sight seeings. The apartment is very much comfortable with beds and living room furniture’s and fully equipped kitchen. We had felt as our own house stay. Thanks a lot to the house owner.
