Perfect little house- clean and comfortable

We choose this house because of the close location to a wedding at Contigo Ranch and it was perfect. The house was very clean and plenty of room to spread out. Peaceful location and we enjoyed the hiking around the property. Highly recommend if you want to have peace and quiet away from town.

Pleasant surprise

This was our first vrbo stay. Loved the home. So very clean and bright and comfy beds very comfortable. We only drove 1/2 mile to the event and it was nice not to have to drive the windy road back to fredricksburg after the wedding. The kiddos loved seeing the wildlife. Thank you

Great place to stay especially for a wedding at Contigo Ranch

We were there for a nephew’s wedding so we wanted a place close to the venue. If you are attending a wedding at Contigo Ranch this is the place to stay. If you are not attending a wedding this is still a great place to stay. Lots of room and amenities with a peaceful location. It is a ways from town but still a great location. Would stay here again.

Hill Country Retreat

We found the property to be very welcoming and enjoyed the greeting we received from the deer! Rooms were spacious, beds comfortable and overall great accommodations! Especially enjoyed the backyard and the stars away from city lights. Great location - far enough away from hustle, bustle but close enough for shopping and wine tasting fun!

Deer and turkeys were around the property and we enjoyed watching them. Good beds. Kitchen was efficient. Ice maker in the refrigerator was not working. Insufficient number of towels (3 towels for 4 people). In the welcome book the wi-fi information was incorrect. No information for the tv or light fans. The wi-fi information was in the email. We would rent this property again. Enjoyed our time there!

Great and relaxing property

We had a great stay in really nice recently renovated house. Perfect location for the wedding venue nearby. Enjoyed watching the deer in morning and evenings. There were small amenities that we do not often find in other VRBO’s. We would certainly stay here again!

Great home, very clean, and good proximity to town. We like to stay on the outskirts and the location of this home was perfect. Very quiet and loved seeing all the wildlife, especially the deer. We enjoyed hanging out with our friends in the backyard around the fire pit. We’ll definitely be back.

Great location close to enchanted rock. We enjoyed watching all of the deer at the deer feeder in the morning and it worked out perfect for us to wake up and head straight for our hike then clean up before we headed out.

AWESOME PLACE ❤️

It exceeded our expectations. The hike to the look out was perfect for watching the solar eclipse . Our little guy even did the hike with us because it was gradual enough for him . We loved wading in the creek with my son. it was his first time seeing little fish , and frogs and all the fun stuff . 😀 Everything was beautiful and clean. I highly recommend. I loved the shower head that felt like rain drops so much too lol 😊

Nature Lovers Paradise

Deer visited every day, as did the hummingbirds, and even a big black cow grazed by 😉 Be sure to walk the property to view wildflowers and butterflies of every color. House amenities were great and as advertised. Would stay again.

Excellent property in rural location, perfect for nature lovers. Very clean and tidy outside. Inside, property is gorgeous! Beautiful finishes and accessories. Well stocked, very comfortable. Host was excellent to work with. We are rebooking soon for this time next year! :-)

Fabulous property, great location.

Fabulous property with everything we needed for our stay. We wanted to be out of town - and this was a perfect location. About a 20min drive from Fredericksburg and less than 10mins from Enchanted Rock Park. The fire pit in the back yard was a great touch to make smores and star gaze! Our teenagers loved it. Das Enchanted Cottage is enchanting!

My friends and I had a delightful stay at Das Enchanted Cottage, located down the road from Enchanted Rock. The home was was spotless and spacious - there was plenty of space for six adult women who gathered together to cook and celebrate a birthday. In addition to hiking at Enchanted Rock, we hiked the trail behind the house and had a wonderful view of Crabapple Valley with its historical school building and church. Each morning and late afternoon during our stay, we would see a beautiful family of deer gather close to the house to graze, and the stargazing (during the new moon phase, meaning no moon) cannot be beat - I've never seen so many stars at one time in my life! The instructions were concise and clear, and the check-in/check-out process was a breeze. I highly recommend staying at Das Enchanted Cottage, and I will definitely stay here again when I am in the area!
