Hidden Springs at Long Lake
The house was very comfortable for my husband and me, plus our adult son and daughter-in-law. We had family nearby and they visited us several times. The kitchen and living area were perfect for the 10 of us. The property is equipped with everything you need. Large tables inside and outside. We enjoyed the firepit every night. One day we rented jet skis and enjoyed a beach day with the kayaks and canoe on our private beach and dock. The backyard and view of Long Lake is beautiful. Very private and serene.

Perfect vacation home
My family has stayed at Hidden Springs on Long Lake for five years in a row now, and each visit has been absolutely delightful. I love having coffee while watching the sun rise over the lake. My husband takes a kayak ride each morning. The beach is so lovely for wading and making castles. The Tiny House is perfect for our adult kids to have their own space. We look forward every year to time visiting Frankfort, Empire, hiking the trails, and this year we discovered Lake Ann, which is lovely. Already looking forward to next summer!

This property is all we expected and more. Long lake is a beautiful, quiet lake. This is our 2nd year staying at the cottage and liked every minute. So much fun lakeside playing in and around the water. Lots of games and activities for all ages. We kayaked every day sometimes numerous times. Had fun watching the wild life in and around the lake. Also searching for things in the forest across 22 Old Indian Trail. The beach at the end on lake Michigan was an afternoon stay. Even making a fairy garden in the woods. There were many teaching/learning moments for the kiddos and us as well. We have been coming to this area since we were young and continue to love all the surrounding area has to offer. Sand dunes, Lake Michigan, Platte river kayak and tubes, Pierce Stocking drive, beaches, Traverse City, Frankfort, great restaurants especially The Cherry Hut. Great hikes. An outdoor paradise! Ryan and his wife are Great hosts. Hope we can do it again.

Hidden Surprise
My family of two teenagers and my parents visited and celebrated my parent's 50th anniversary. Inside and out the house was great whether we were coming and going or just relaxing at Hidden Springs. The lake access; beach, boats, and dock, really helped us escape our daily reality and enjoy the beautiful and peaceful lake. Communication with the owners was great and I can't thank them enough for how they helped us know more about the area so we could make the most of our time. Watching my 75-year-old dad catch a nice smallmouth bass while sitting in the back of a comfortable canoe will be a lasting memory. I can't think of a single drive or walk up or down the driveway off M-22 when we didn't see a deer or rabbit saying goodbye or welcoming us "home." Being able to hike through a beautiful forest to dunes and the Lake Michigan shoreline without getting in the car was a treat. A quick drive to Frankfort brought us views of lighthouses and Crystal Lake, ice cream, bike trails, and good food. It was also nice to be able to choose from three beautiful area golf courses each under $50 per round. We've stayed at several wonderful homes in northwestern Michigan, but this is the one that had everything we could possibly be looking for. The only reason we can't stay again next year is that we will be travelling with a much larger group. Otherwise, Hidden Springs will certainly be top of the list for future getaways.

Quiet week at the Lake
As always, we were greeted to the home by the cool breeze coming off the lake drifting through the double patio doors, into the clean and tidy home that would be ours for the next week. The tranquility persisted throughout the week, ranging from the call of the loons to wake us at daylight, to the frogs and crickets lulling us to sleep at night. This is a superb spot for relaxation off the beaten path, but we'll within distance of countless activities, more than what can be seen and done in a week for sure!

Great cottage on a lake
Perfect place for our visit to Sleeping Bear National Park. Our grandkids loved fishing from the dock as well as from the canoes, kayaks and row boat. Lots of perch, blue gill, bass turtles and dragonflies. Well stock kitchen for fixing meals. Comfy beds. Laundry came in handy. Quiet and peaceful. Saw beavers, geese with their babies and a raccon came up on the back deck. No one was bored with so much to do.

Just Beautiful
From the moment we entered the front door and could look through the house onto the lake, we knew we were staying in the right place!! It was such a beautiful drive around Crystal Lake to get there, and then being on Long Lake was just perfect. The house was bigger than it appeared on the listing, and so lovely. It had everything we needed for preparing dinner when we just wanted to enjoy a relaxing night in. We loved having the canoes and kayaks available to explore the lake. Watching the sunrise over the lake was a perfect way to start each day!! We also took full advantage of the deck, the grill, and the fire pit. I also want to mention how amazing the star gazing is from this property. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen so many stars. During our stay we visited Sleeping Bear Dunes, Frankfort, Beulah, Glen Arbor, and more. The view from the dunes is breathtaking, and each little town is cuter than the next. Plenty of outdoor adventure, restaurants, shops, and wineries to entertain everyone in the family, all within 30 minutes of the property. We will definitely be back!!

This was our third year staying at this beautiful home on Long Lake. The location is lovely, the small private beach has lots of sand to play in and a dock from which to watch the sunrises and sunsets, the home is spacious and includes everything needed, the owners are very helpful and responsive. We love this area and the home and Tiny House. Can’t wait to return!

Perfect Location!
We loved this lakefront property that is located slightly off the beaten path on a private road. Wonderful wildlife sightings including otters, fawns, loons and ducks. The house has great windows for views of the lake. The property had everything we needed for our week there. It is also close to National Lakeshore hiking trails that lead to Lake Michigan. We definitely were upset to leave. The only thing we struggled with was slow wifi service, which sometimes is a great way to disconnect and enjoy the surroundings.

Such a great location!
My family absolutely loved this cottage. The location could not be better - absolutely amazing! We enjoyed our morning coffee on the sandy beach in Adirondack chairs watching ducks, birds, rabbits, deer. And then every evening we got a show from the resident otter. We were able to utilize the row boat and kayaks provided daily. Cottage is stock with everything we needed and very clean. Owners were super responsive. We will be back!!

Unplug and connect with nature
This property has all the amenities I needed to get away completely from the rest of the world! Outstanding and rapid communication with Ryan each time I had a question. We had such a great time getting out on the rowboat and kayaks every single day of the week. The kids never asked for the TV to be turned on once. They were having such a great time playing in the water and on the beach. I highly recommend this place if you are looking to unplug and enjoy the natural beauty of Benzie and surrounding counties.

Lovely setting and lots to do
My wife and two children (both under 4) stayed here for 4 nights and had a great time on the private beach and dock. Also at the time of this review, was able to use provided firewood for indoor and outdoor fires in the fireplace/firepit. Walking distance to the trailhead that gets you to lake Michigan with about a 2 mile hike. And an easy 15 min drive to Frankfort which has a lot to offer in terms of shops, restaurants, Stormcloud Brewey and a great bike/running path. Wonderful stay and would highly recommend!

It was a wonderful, relaxing get away. Hidden away but easy access to food, hiking, food and wine. Did I mention food?? So many little towns each with its own treasures. We were there at the beginning of autumn but I feel a must experience any time of the year. Thank you for the hospitality!!

Loved it. Quiet R&R Getaway.
This property was an incredible landing spot for some much-needed rest and relaxation. We found the property to be quiet and peaceful, even at the times the lake was busiest with activity. We even loved the rainy days! Ryan was fast to respond to messages every step of the way. It is transparent they want the renter/guest to be comfortable in and love the space as much as they do. Not only in the way they equipped the home to make it more comfortable for guests, the huge DVD collection was a nice start. But more importantly, how they approached communicating. That’s a special kind of x-factor not all vacation rental owners seem to bring to the dynamic. Thanks, y’all. We would absolutely consider staying here again when wanting a break from technology and able to leave work at home. The only barrier to booking this place for a “working vacation” was the internet speed. If you need to do something such as a video conference, as warned, the system just isn’t designed to support it. However, if it’s a concern for your upcoming trip - Verizon had a strong signal and a hot spot would have worked well for short 1-off connectivity needs.

Better than Home!
Such a wonderful property! From the moment we entered it felt like we were in our own home. The house was extremely comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked; even had roasting sticks for marshmallows and brats! We appreciated the extensive library of DVDs and games and utilized it every night we were there. The view from the rear of the house was beautiful - especially stunning at sunrise. Having a bonfire pit, dock and canoes, kayaks and rowboat to enjoy the lake made it even better than home. Would really like to return with our kids and grandkids next year some time. Sure they would love it as much as we did! If you are looking for a private, quiet, comfortable space, look no further! Thank you to Ryan & Kylah for an amazing stay!!!
