The Space:

Enjoy a quiet getaway while still being within walking distance to restaurants, bars, and activities. With a king bed, twin bed, and kitchenette, this studio is perfect for a small family or couples. Keep in mind there is not a stove, the studio is equipped with a large Roku television, Keurig, and a walk-in tiled shower in the full bathroom. Enjoy the sun and sand in your own private oasis, with the beautiful white sands of the Gulf just a short walk away. Slip rental available for boats. Come create unforgettable memories at this beautiful waterfront escape!

PLEASE NOTE: Our studio is located beneath a main house where a family resides with young children. While we strive to maintain a peaceful environment, you may hear children playing and running during the day and into the evening.

Guest Access:
When staying at 334 Bluefish #6, guests have access to a private beach on the Santa Rosa Sound, which is perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and water activities. Additionally, the studio is equipped with a large Roku television and a kitchenette with a Keurig, allowing guests to relax and enjoy their stay. The full bathroom features a walk-in tiled shower and is stocked with linens and toiletries for guests' convenience. Slip rental is also available for boats. The location of the studio provides a secluded getaway while still being within walking distance to restaurants, bars, and activities.

The Neighborhood:
It's a quiet neighborhood, full of locals and tucked in between the intercoastal Santa Rosa Sound and the Gulf of Mexico. The beach is a 2 min walk following the boardwalk across the street. This property is attached to the Okaloosa Island Beach Access #1 Boardwalk that goes directly to the Gulf of Mexico's beautiful sugar-white warm sandy beach and the intercostal waterway near the Brooks Bridge. The Santa Rosa Sound is a minute or two on the opposite side, also connected to the boardwalk. Okaloosa Island is known for less crowded beaches and is about 10-15 min from Destin depending on traffic. This neighborhood is located near restaurants, bars, etc.

Getting Around:
Guests staying at 334 Bluefish #6 can easily get around by car, bike, or foot. The space comes with 1 parking spot. Okaloosa Island is a small island and it's easy to navigate by bike or foot. There are several bike rental companies in the area. The island also has a trolley service that runs during the summer months, providing guests with easy access to the island's many attractions. Additionally, ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft are available in the area.

Other Things to Note:
Please note that 334 Bluefish #6 is a ground floor studio located below the main residence's home. It is important to be aware that this studio is a separate living area with its own private entrance. However, please keep in mind that the main house is occupied by an active family of four, including two small children who may be heard early in the morning as they move around. Despite this, the studio provides a comfortable and private space for guests to enjoy their stay.

Due to being on an island with a tropical climate, there are tropical insects, amphibians, fish, etc. The space is treated regularly for pests however, you may come across a palmetto bug, wood roach, American roach, Ceratopogonidae (no-seams), mosquitos, termites, etc. During storms, we tend to find that insects can and will invade spaces to get away from the rain. While we do take precautions to keep these critters out, it is sometimes out of our control as this is the environment in which we live. The property is located very close to the water — snakes such as water moccasins are seen on occasion, especially near rocks and such, please make sure you are aware of your surroundings. Swimming in the bay there are a variety of aquatic species that can cause harm, swim at your own risk.

Check in man sucks
I called the manager to check in because the portal was not working it was erased from my text messages so I called to try and get the password to get into the door. I was told I must go through the portal there's no other way of getting in well I had no internet as a property he was not willing to give me a password to sign up to the Internet even to get to my portal to get into the password to get into the property he was a real prick telling me that I was the problem when computer glitches internet connections passwords and everything else that a man has to deal with after an 8 hour drive was shoved in my face and I was almost hung up on by this prick that runs this place finally his wife got on the phone and was cordial and at least guided me through how to get into this stupid portal when all along all he had to do was give me the four digit code to get in but he was a real smacked ass and had an attitude with me immediately and kept saying sir you could just do this on your own and wouldn't even help me until his wife got on the phone I never been treated like this before just to try and check in if I was in front of them I'd knock his teeth out but thank God he had a cordial wife and got me through this reservation and then I had an ear infection and dropped two drops of blood on his sheet and he's so involent he doesn't even know how to get blood out of a white sheet so his intelligence shines so if you're considering a place you might want to consider the prick

It was not as advertised. A sand box does not constitute a private beach. Two chairs outside the door does not constitute a patio. Upstairs was Very noisy all day and night. Cramped parking. Internet was spotty at best. I have photos of existing conditions before use to make sure we didn’t get back charged. Will stay elsewhere in the future.

Cute place. Nice view from the property. Great location. Two issues: bathroom shower didn’t drain properly and couldn’t get ceiling fan to work. Messaged the StellarDwellers and they never responded nor got fan working. Other than that I would stay there again.
