It was a good stay for the price. My boyfriend thought the bed was hard, but I thought it was pretty comfortable. The breakfast was alright…the eggs were fluffier than most powdered hotel eggs.

This is a nice clean, relatively inexpensive hotel, close to the interstate. A really good stopping point for folks going on to alpine or the big bend area.

The room was in good shape, had dog prints all the way across the floor from god knows how long ago, walk across the floor barefoot after a shower and they needed to be cleaned before you crawl into bed.

My room was not as clean as it should be, there was hair on the shampoo and conditioner bottles in the shower which were actually empty when we went to try and use some for our own shower. Definitely need to put more effort in the cleaning. Hotel needs some upkeep, everything is knocked and old.

It took almost an hour to get checked in. There was one person in front of me waiting for an extended amount of time. The machine that programs the door keys didn't work and the lady working at the time was having a bit of a meltdown, I felt bad for her. She ended up having to manually open the door to our rooms for us. In the morning, there was a man standing right at the door going on to the lobby area and smoking so that was really cool that I had to get 2nd hand smoke on my way to check out the breakfast offerings.
