Sunset 96, Mariners Cay is ideally situated in the far corner of the Mariner's Cay compound giving guests a panoramic view of the Folly River all the way to Kiawah Island. Nothing can compare to the colorful sunsets from the screened porch. Mariner's Cay is a gated community of residents and renters, which offers guests not only a swimming pool and tennis/pickleball courts but also is only minutes away from the beaches and walking distance to the funky town of Folly Beach. The privacy and lack of traffic is perfect for small children and teenagers.

The first "Wow" moment happens when you first open the door and see the amazing openness and views. The next "Wow" moment comes at sunset when one must hurry to the screened porch and allow him/herself to be awed.
As can be seen by the photos, the unit has a large, main bedroom with a king size bed opening onto the porch; and two additional bedrooms with queen beds. The open living area has a large flat screen smart HDTV, Bose system, and DVD player.

The property truly has a million dollar view yet is affordable to all. It's all about location. Owners have totally redecorated and updated. Entire building has had reconstructed porches and new siding. All updated in 2023!

We guarantee our cleaning service continues to follow all sanitation guidelines. We feel our new standards go above and beyond the recommended procedures in an effort to make our guests feel welcomed and safe. This home has a 5 star rating partially due to the outstanding cleanliness with all the many amenities. New linens and towels are changed regularly along with the interior freshly painted.

Enjoy the extended porch as you watch dolphin and sailboats or wading birds feeding in the marsh grasses. Enjoy the full water views to Kiawah and James Island from the living area, kitchen, and main bedroom. Located close to the beach but without the tourist and noise.

This island condominium will slow you down and make you relax. It is all you need to unwind. Nothing has been overlooked. Owners take pride in providing guests a home away from home with comfortable beds, plush towels, and many extras. Romantic for a couples retreat, family vacation, or girls/guys get away.

This is a perfect place for Citadel and College of Charleston parents to stay for visits and graduations. Visit Folly Beach and nearby Charleston for the many festivals and celebrations or visit the many historical sites and forts. The music is always wonderful in Folly Beach or check out The Pour House and Charleston Music Hall. You may also enjoy the nearby shopping in Charleston and outlets. This location has something for everyone.

Laid back is the best way to describe Folly Beach. Life on Folly Beach follows a fun, relaxing pace. During the winter, it is a small town at the end of I26. In the summer, it is a vacation destination. Locals proclaim, “We have the best waves, the best nightlife and the best beach atmosphere along the Charleston Coast...don’t tell anyone.”

Folly Beach is home to the famous Morris Lighthouse, colorful locals, sand, sun, and some of the best surf on the East Coast. Also home to many species of endangered wildlife. Relaxing Thanksgiving Break
We spent Thanksgiving week at Linda’s beautiful condo. It was clean, beautifully decorated, well stocked and the beds were very comfortable. The screened in balcony was wonderful spot to watch the beautiful sunsets. We enjoyed the short walk over the bridge into the town of Folly Beach where we ate delicious meals and walked along the beach and fishing pier. The location of the condo was very quiet & peaceful, perfect for the relaxing vacation we were hoping for. We can’t wait to return. Thank you Linda for sharing your beautiful vacation home with us.

Perfect - wish we had stayed longer!
Linda’s place is lovely. Stunning views (safe from mosquitos from the screen!) and very comfortable stay. We just wish we’d booked more than 3 nights! The condo complex is nice too and we found the boats and dock on the last day! Linda was very communicative and wanted make our stay as lovely as possible. We enjoyed the character of Folly beach area and being able to walk to town! Although a shame the beach was being regenerated! Would recommend Linda’s for a quiet, peaceful stay in SC.

Fantastic Stay at Folly Beach!
We had an incredible time staying at this immaculate rental during our trip for The Citadel’s Parents Weekend. The house was beautiful, and the location was perfect—right next to everything we needed while still feeling peaceful and secure in the gated community. The highlight for us was the screened-in porch with its amazing view—such a relaxing spot to enjoy our mornings and evenings. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed, and the entire home was extremely comfortable and clean. The property owners were very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed for a great stay. We felt safe and well taken care of and can’t wait to come back!

Perfect Girls Trip Stay!
Linda was so amazing and help from booking to departure! She responded quickly and gave us all the details we need to make our stay amazing. The condo was decorated so cute! You could tell she invested time to make it homey and beautiful with all the nautical decor and personal touches. There was nothing we went without as she had everything we needed (even down to the beach chairs we all forgot)! The complex was super nice and secure. Being on the sound was so peaceful, but also only 5 minutes from the beach and restaurants and bars. The pool was super clean and peaceful. We really enjoyed having that option when we didn’t feel like making an entire beach trip. This will definitely be our Folly Beach stay from now on 😊

We loved having a place where we could relax for a few days after college move-in week. So much detail given to decor and updates in all rooms. Nosy property manager next door, beautiful comfortable condo, beach 10 min drive away difficult park
Be on your best behavior!!! The property manager next door has watchful eyes. On the last day of our trip, it rained which canceled our last beach afternoon. Instead, we relaxed and kids made their own fun playing with shells and finding crabs in the sand in front of the building. They ran up and down the stairs, excited to show us their prizes as we packed up leaving little sandy footprints. The property manager who lives next door contacted the owner, who then accused us of leaving a mess and staining towels. We reassured everyone and even sent pictures showing how clean everything was. The next day, as we were leaving we bumped into a candle and broke the glass surround. We apologized and sent a picture, happy to pay for a replacement. The following day, after the cleaning lady went through every one of the 100 decorations in property, we were sent 3 more pictures accusing us of breaking other things. It was a bad way to end an otherwise enjoyable family vacation.

Amazing summer vacation.
Linda was absolutely amazing to work with. She communicated so well and we were given a lot of information of what to expect, how to check-in & check-out. The property is very clean, spacious and comfortable. Of course our favorite spot was the screened-in porch. It was also very convinent to have a washer and dryer in the unit as well. Another thing that we loved was the location. Super close to the beaches, markets and other shops. Thank you Linda for your hospitality and a great experience.

Annual Family Beach Trip
This property is truly amazing! Love the proximity to Folly Beach and everything the area offered. We also enjoyed the swimming pool, which was not overcrowded at all and was very relaxing. The back porch is a wonderful way to be outside and just sit and relax and watch everything the marsh has to display. Truly enjoyed my morning coffee on the porch. We were very appreciative of the cleanliness of the unit and the attention to detail everywhere you turned. Linda, the host, was wonderful to communicate with. Hoping to return next year for another annual family beach getaway!!

Gorgeous Sunsets!!
We had a wedding weekend in Charleston and decided to make it a week trip to take in the city. It was an easy drive and we explored Folly Beach! The condo was clean and communication was excellent. We had 2 vehicles (max) and if it had been more crowded it could have been difficult parking the 2nd vehicle, but it wasn’t for us thankfully. The views outside were amazing and the porch is fully screened so we enjoyed having coffee out there in the mornings. There are 3 ceiling fans out on the porch as well!! The air conditioning works awesome and we kept it turned up more than we do at our house (higher temp) because it got so cold! 😊 That’s a good thing when it is so hot in the summer, so staying here is perfect for summer! Linda was so quick and helpful at answering questions when I had them! She was absolutely AMAZING! We will definitely stay here again when we return to Charleston/ Folly!! Diane K.

Perfectly perfect!
My husband and I have stayed on Folly for 20 years, sometimes in houses and other times in condominiums. By far, our favorite views are of the marsh and sunsets, which led us to Mariner's Cay. 96 MC is the most welcoming and beautifully appointed home we have rented. April weather gave us cool nights and warm days. Charleston is a short drive away. What's not to love?!

The pictures do not lie! Everything was just as it appears and so unbelievably comfortable. We loved sitting out on the screened in porch and could be found there most afternoons. Our family of four all had enough space to spread out but also enjoyed the time hanging out together in the living room or on the porch.

Easy and just as described
We had to book a bit last minute and Linda did a beautiful job getting us all the Information we needed. Check in was easy and everything was just as described. A well kept and updated property. Screen porch facing the March to watch sunsets was a highlight! Everything local was a very short drive away, yet every evening a quit place to relax and replay the day together.
