Hidden Florence still exists! Villa Ventura is located in the most picturesque area of downtown Florence. An ancient pilgrim path takes you to Ponte Vecchio and the historical center in no time. Nestled just above San Niccolo, the oldest and most beloved district by the Florentines, you can truly enjoy the best of the countryside and the city. This luxuriously renovated three bedroom villa offers privacy, breathtaking views, terraces, gardens and a quiet hideaway. Erta Canina is part of historical Florence and the ancient monk path takes you to all sites in no time. The villa is located close to Piazzale Michelangelo and therefore it is on top of the hill, overlooking Florence. The gorgeous view of the duomo will make the steep path very worth the while. Alternatively, Ponte Vecchio is a quick taxi or bus ride away.
For longer stays please note that we require an obligatory weekly mid cleaning which will guarantee a perfectly cleaned home for you including a change of all linen and sheets. Please inquire directly with the owner for fees and cleaning schedules which will be coordinated according to your convenience.

Beautiful neighborhood, gorgeous home

We loved our stay!! It was great to hike into the hills, away from the dense crowds. The view is pretty spectacular and the house is really elegant and well appointed.

Lovely Home in Florence

We enjoyed our stay in Florence. The house is beautiful and the host is very communicative. As it is not in the center of Florence, it is a bit of a hike to get to most places on foot. I gave our stay a 5-star review, but would also like to point out that the house next door has 24-hour security in the form of armed guards. I was informed of this the day before we arrived. They are stationed in front of this property and are not always friendly. I'm not sure how long this will continue, but keep in mind that you may encounter them.

The perfect place to spend our last days in Italy

Karin is the consummate host down to the very last detail. From arranging a transfer from the train station to restaurant recommendations to coffee to wine and of course the air conditioning we were pampered and felt right at home! The villa is lovely and the neighborhood charming. We walked off many great meals heading back up the hill! Thank you again Karin!

Our FAVORITE VRBO…ever!

When we travel with our adult family, we stay at VRBOs. This is BY FAR our favorite VRBO! The location is within easy walking distance of the city center of Florence. Each bedroom room was spacious and no detail was overlooked in this GORGEOUS villa! There was a dining table inside, as well as one outside on the patio. We would eat outside, as it overlooked the Tuscany region! Simply BEAUTIFUL!

Beautiful Home Close to Florence!

Karin was wonderfully helpful and made renting easy! The home is beautiful...and the path in to Florence is lovely. A little bit of a workout to return up hill to the home...but we found it a nice walk after dinner:-) It was a little challenging to get taxi services at this location- but otherwise we very much enjoyed Villa Ventura! Best view and property in Florence

Exceptionally well appointed VRBO in Florence. Small walk up the hill but easy uphill walking distance all the major restaurants and museums. The place is an architectural masterpiece. I wish I lived here.

Gorgeous villa, amazing vistas, close to town

Villa Ventura is a magnificent property. Every detail of this property has been thought out and well-executed. We loved the modern design and cozy touches of this property. The sunset views from the lovely terrace were incredible every single night that we were there. The hot air balloons in the morning views were outstanding, too. The en-suite bathrooms were all beautiful and the beds were very comfortable. It is difficult to find a villa for rent that has such a close proximity to town. The San Niccolo neighborhood nearby has a nice bakery, a couple of small markets, a coffee shop, good restaurants, wine bars, pizza places, etc. And it is a quick walk to (and across) the Arno River from there. That said, it is a fairly steep walk up back up the hill to the villa. (We did it at least twice a day so it is definitely doable,) We are already making plans to go back to this delightful find. The communication with the owners was exemplary! They are just great.

Highly recommend!

My family had the most incredible stay at Villa Ventura and didn’t want it to come to an end! We enjoyed the peacefulness and serenity of the beautiful Tuscan countryside and the ability to walk into the city to explore. The villa itself is amazing. Lots of natural light, clean, comfortable, and stunning. Karin was a phenomenal host. She was super responsive and provided many great recommendations in response to our many questions. We appreciated her arranging our transfer to and from the train station. We hope to return to Villa Ventura.

I think that they used a lot of photo shop. It difinately does not look anything like the photos. They need to tell there customers you need to walk down and up a very steep hill. Also if you need a taxi you need to walk up to Main Street. Owner can be very harsh! Would not recommend.

Exceeded all expectations

Karin was wonderful to deal with - she went above and beyond to respond to our questions and needs. This spectacular renovated villa is a short walk out of town. A beautiful area and a quiet resting spot after exploring busy Florence for the day. The 3 bedrooms we used were very comfortable, each had large bathrooms, and kitchen was well stocked. The patio area was such a nice spot to grab a glass of wine at the end of the day. Nothing negative to say at all. I highly recommend! Thanks Karin.

Incredible Stay

Our family of six had a wonderful 8 days staying at Villa Ventura. The views of Florence from the walking path each day were breathtaking. The view from the patio of the countryside was just as pleasant. The renovation of the villa is first class. Karin and her family have taken great care to ensure that every detail is order for their guests. Karin was extremely responsive, arranging for all our transportation needs to and from the train station and airport. When we inquired about a cooking class at the villa, Karin suggested chef Patrizia. Patrizia was amazing. Our time with Patrizia was a highlight of our trip. We got our exercise during our trip, which was exactly what we were looking for by staying at Villa Ventura, walking the path to and from the city each day, taking in the incredible views. We cannot recommend Villa Ventura highly enough. Our entire family was extremely impressed with the property. A 5+ star experience!

Incredible villa

We loved this property the perfect place for the family to have our Christmas. Each room had it's own bathroom. The view is out of this world. The place was so clean and very well equipped. The town and location really lived up to being in Italy. Like others said the only downside is walking up the hill from the backside using the street was easy. And hard to get cabs to come to you so you had to walk into town which is not far away. The homeowner was great at communicating with us and coordinated a driver to the airport.

Florence vacation

The property was beautiful and modern. The entire process of renting , communicating with the owner, her advice and recommendations were all perfect. The property is on a hill just outside the main city, it has great views but can be difficult to get to town. We are middle aged couples and walking down and then uphill we’re not an option. Getting taxis was easy and really helped alleviate any travel issues. Florence is a beautiful city with great art, history, shopping and food. People throughout our visit were friendly, helpful and welcoming. We truly loved our experience and would highly recommend this VRBO to anyone wanting a unique experience in Florence.

Perfect!

We spent almost two weeks at this beautiful property. We wanted a different experience than being in the middle of the city center and this villa did not disappoint. The location was incredible, up on the hillside above Florence where we watched beautiful sunsets every single night from our own terrace. The floor plan of the house is ideal for friends and family alike - each bedroom offering their own individual bathroom made it private, yet very comfortable and functional. The living area and good sized outside terrace offered plenty of space for all. The amenities of the property are exceptional - no convenience was left undone. From beautiful finishes, outdoor lighting in the evenings to automated shades throughout - all were lovely and well executed. The walk down the path was easy enough, even with a toddler in a stroller. There are great restaurants right at the bottom the hill in the San Niccolo neighborhood and we found it very easy to catch taxis back up the hill from the many taxi stands located around the city center. The Villa is also just a 10 minute, flat walk to Piazzale Michelangelo, a lively spot that overlooks all of Florence. Karin was a most gracious and available host. Not one text went unanswered for more than a few minutes and she consistently helped with all of our needs and questions -( including arranging an unexpected 4:30am transfer from the Villa to the airport for an early flight.) We would definitely love to stay at this beautiful property again!
