Cute Cozy Quiet A-Frame in the Pines Dog Friendly

Summary:
Our cozy A-frame will keep you warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Located in the beautiful Mountainaire community, just 10 minutes south of Flagstaff. The A-frame sleeps 6, is family and dog friendly and is the perfect get-away! The Mountainaire community is quiet, scenic and minutes from hiking, sled riding, cross-country skiing, fishing and more. Enjoy our fully fenced and private back yard with fire pit, picnic table and patio area.

The Space:
Coconino County STR Permit ~ STR-23-0066
AZ TPT: 21423304

Welcome to our A-frame in the Cool Pines! We are nestled in the friendly community of Mountainaire, 10 miles south of Flagstaff. Mountainaire is a quiet community among the beautiful Ponderosa Pine trees! Grab a bite to eat and enjoy a cool beverage at the Mountainaire Tavern and then head over to the General Store for some late-night snacks!
Our A-frame has 2 bedrooms and a semi-private loft, 1-bathroom, private patio, fire pit and fully fenced backyard. We have a dog door and are dog friendly.

Upon entering the A-frame, you are greeted by a cozy living room equipped with a smart tv, gas burning fireplace, vaulted ceiling, and comfortable seating area with plush blankets to cozy up with on a cold evening. The dining room is adjacent to the living room and has table seating for 6. The fully equipped kitchen includes a gas stove and oven, full-sized fridge, Keurig coffee maker, French press coffee maker, toaster oven, microwave, blender, and ample dishes and glassware.

The bathroom has a shower stall, hair dryer, and towels for guests. The bathroom is located on the ground floor of the A-frame. Please note the A-frame does not have a bathtub.

Bedroom #1 is on the ground floor and is accessible for those guests who cannot climb stairs. It is beautifully decorated, has a blackout blind, Double bed, dresser for guest use and a full sized-washer and dryer behind the curtains.

The Primary bedroom is located upstairs and boasts a comfortable Queen bed, has a blackout blind and curtains, closet, Roku TV, dresser, and fun décor.

Lastly, the loft bedroom is located upstairs and is semi-private. It has privacy curtains, a blind on the sky light, storage in a vintage inspired locker, Double bed and fun yellow chair/lounger.

The backyard is fully fenced, has a firepit, picnic table, back porch, swing, and chairs for around the fire pit.

Our A-frame is cozy, beautifully decorated and has all the comforts of home while getting to experience the charm that can only be found in an A-frame. Please note, the walls inside the house, both downstairs and upstairs, are slanted, and it is very easy to hit your head if you are not being careful. The house was built in 1966 and has 6-foot door frames. Tall people will need to duck to avoid hitting their head. Also please note that the stairs in the A-frame are steep and not recommended for people who have difficulty climbing stairs. Bedroom 1# is located on the ground floor as is the bathroom.

Lastly, we border the Coconino National Forest and wildlife could be a part of your stay. Please respect wildlife and stay a safe distance away. Please do not feed any wildlife or leave any food or dishes out in the yard unattended.

We know you will love your stay at our A-frame in the Cool Pines! Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions prior to booking! We look forward to hosting you!

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the entire A-frame, front yard, back yard and back yard patio.

The Neighborhood:
The community of Mountainaire is cute, quiet and boarded by the Coconino National Forest. The is a local tavern with food, drinks, pool tables and an outdoor area as well as a Country Store. We recommend you check out both!

Other Things to Note:
Please note that our A-frame is heated by our gas fireplace. A-frames typically don't have central heat as they don't have space for duct work inside the A-frame walls. Also at this time we do not have AC and recommend that guests utilize passive cooling methods like opening the windows at night in the summer and closing the house up during the heat of the day. Please message me prior to booking if you have any questions.

Summer Getaway
The cabin was exactly as described and was a nice landing spot for our family trip to the woods. The kids loved the a-frame and we found it to be a very pleasant stay.

Good for cool weather
Cute little house. Very warm to sleep, due to the summer weather. No Air Conditioning and little ventilation.

Wonderful AFrame
I was very impressed with everything they had available for use in the kitchen. It felt like being right at home. Great neighborhood with friendly people. The upstairs loft can be heard in the living room and vice versa. Great place!

Nice Little Cabin
The cabin was cozy and stocked with everything you need. We loved the decor, the warm fireplace, and the firepit. We were able to park our small camper and two vehicles in the drive which was a huge plus. The yard was a bit overgrown and the carpet in the downstairs bedroom needs to be removed or replaced, but all in all we enjoyed our stay.

Late winter stay
The A-frame was very quaint and had everything we needed to relax after visiting Flaggstaff, Sedona, and Grand Canyon. There was a lot of snow but the host had the driveway well plowed. A short walk to nature and a few food and store options within 3-10 minutes drive. We arrived a little before check in and host was able to accommodate us quickly. Our 13 and 10 year old boys found the second floor sleeping arrangements cool.
