Sleepy moose cabin
The cabin was clean and comfortable. We stayed 3 nights. The kitchen was well equipped for having meals in. Good location for getting out and enjoying some hiking as well as the nearby towns.

Perfect Location, Nice Cabin
Cabin is in a perfect location for solitude but not isolation. Just the right amenities in the cabin. Needed some additional cleaning due to pet hair on the area rug and a large amount of dust under the bed. My wife has allergies and asthma and did what we could to clean but the vacuum that was at the cabin was partially broken and was inadequate to correct the problem completely. Still, we would come back to this cabin again.

Accessible seclusion
Perfect for peace and quiet. Weather didn't quite cooperate but the location was peaceful and its close enough to town to eat and grab groceries. Well-maintained and clean, we enjoyed our stay!

Winter get away
Cabin was very cozy looking, remote and had great views. Kitchen had all the basics to get you by and coffee pot had filters which was a plus. Drive from town to cabin was beautiful but rough. I’d only recommend experienced winter drivers if staying during the winter months. Saw several moose on the drive in and out of the cabin. Several tracks were spotted near the property but no sightings at the cabin. It was about 45 minute to Breckenridge but during bad weather with accidents it took us a bit longer. The cabin is kept at 50F and took almost a full day to warm up even with tending to the wood stove but that required a lot of attention. The first night in, some of us were sleeping in our coats but by the second night it was nice and warm. Some extra attention needs to be given to cleaning the floors, under the beds, and dust some cobwebs away otherwise place was pretty clean! Host was quick to respond and very nice when we locked ourselves out of the cabin without our phones and car keys.

Secluded cabin
We enjoyed our stay . Cabin is very secluded and very nice . Depending on what you are looking for . Breckenridge was like 45 minutes away . Supermarket it's like 15 minutes away drive . South Park City it's a pretty good landmark on the way. The only thing that was a bit challenging was the heating system. Also floor can get pretty cold . Overall we liked it and enjoyed our vacation. Thank you for letting us stay at your cabin .

Sleepy Moose Cabin
We really enjoyed the cabin and had a great time. Lots of wildlife. A raccoon came up on the front porch and looked through the glass door while I was watching TV. Scared me a little - I thought it was a bear at first. I think he liked the TV as he kept looking up at it. A herd of deer came through the property on Saturday and Sunday. We saw a mamma moose and baby on Sunday night right outside of the fence. That was pretty cool!

Saw moose, deer, It’s at over 11,000 ft so be ready to feel a little different. Shortness of breath ext. But would highly recommend!

This cabin was a perfect start to our vacation. It was set way in the mountains allowing us to soak it all in with privacy. I would make a small suggestion to bring your own filtered water. Thank you for hosting us!

Truly a Mountain Retreat
Lovely log cabin way up in the mountains! All the amenities anyone would need for a stay. Close to FairPlay and hiking, quiet, serene and loved the porches and fenced in yard if you have dogs. Beautiful area for viewing wildlife.

Great getaway
This is a wonderful little cabin tucked away in a woodsy setting. The accommodations were great. The beds were very comfortable, the bathroom was small but great water pressure in the shower. There were lots of extra towels and blankets stocked in the closets . The kitchen had all the appliances and cookware one would need. The cabin is a good 10 minutes from the cute town of Fairplay so we brought up some of our own meals. The only ding I would have on the cabin is the wood burning stove. We never could get it to draw. Luckily, it was a beautiful weekend when we were up so that wasn't a huge problem for us.

Perfect Getaway
My wife and I stayed here from 06/08 to 06/17. We also brought our 2 dogs and loved every minute. We wanted a place in the mountains and private so we could sit and view the mountains along with fishing and seeing wildlife and this place was perfect. We had young bull moose grazing around the yard and then layed down in the back yard. We also seen several Mule deer in the yard and Elk on the different drives coming in and out. If you want a clean and private cabin for a getaway that has everything you need this is it. We will be back to stay here again.

Stunning cabin
All I wanted was to be away from civilization and that is exactly what I got. The only complain I would have is that it would have been nice to have a dedicated cleaned area for the dog to use the restroom and the hot water ran out very quickly. Other than that the stay was perfect! The cabin was clean and the views were breathtaking. I plan on booking this place again in the near future.

Great cabin!
Great mountain get-away. Saw a moose right off the patio within the first 2 hours. Bring your slippers (winter)! It was quite cold, which is what we wanted, however despite valiant effort, the woodstove provided no heat. We hadn't used one of specifically that design before, but we both grew up with woodstoves as our primary source of heat, so we're not "new". We could get it going, but it certainly didn't radiate. Despite having to depend on the baseboard heat, the floors were very cold. But lots of blankets and quilts were available, so it was quite nice. While I don't think you could possibly sleep 8 people, plenty of room for 6. We locked ourselves out while getting more firewood in the 10* night air without shoes, coats, or the cell phone with all the info on it. Had attempted three times to change the access code on the door, but couldn't get it to work, and didn't have the 10-digit code memorized. Very frantic trying to get ahold of management (who didn't have the access code)/owner, but luckily the owner responded back in a matter of minutes and quite literally saved our hides.
