This gorgeous detached cottage on the edge of the pretty Cotswold market town of Fairford, a short stroll to a selection of pubs and the market square for restaurants, shops and Lynwood’s, the best barista in the Cotswolds! The town and surrounding area is crisscrossed with many footpaths, to enjoy lovely walks in the Cotswold countryside and to explore the nearby Cotswold water park lakes. The nearby villages of Eastleach, Bibury, Hatherop, Quenington, Coln St.Aldwyns and a wealth of other beautiful Cotswold villages offering wonderful scenery and fantastic pubs and restaurants, all within a short walk, cycle or drive.
The town sits on a pretty stretch of the River Coln and is famous for its parish church of St Mary’s, which is perhaps the finest ‘wool church’ in the country – being the only church with a complete set of 28 medieval stained glass windows telling the story of the Bible.
Every Wednesday the market square is busy with a traditional market, and a continental market twice a year and a magical Christmas market on the first Friday of December.
For three days every year RAF Fairford hosts the world’s largest military air show – the Royal International Air Tattoo – book early as tickets sell out quickly.
