Come and enjoy the entire Jay Cooke cottage in the woods on Jay Cooke Rd right outside of the official state park markers. We are in a rural area in the small town of Esko, MN. It is a family friendly community with mostly acre plus yards providing privacy and intimacy for you and yours.
A few miles down the road you will find yourself in Jay cooke state park with the northlands beloved superior hiking trail (SHT) and the munger trail boasting several miles of smooth blacktop paths for biking and rollerblading.
The tall pines surrounding the cottage are between 60 to 70 feet tall, helping you get your nature and in the tree vibes to recharge.
The quiet neighborhood will help you enjoy star filled nights by the fire pit, With the sounds of 'up north' nature and wildlife. We have seen black bear close by and bald eagles in front of the cottage.
We have six camp chairs, with outdoor and patio furniture including a hammock. This is your escape from the cities hustle and bustle but close enough to both duluth and superior, wi.
Jay Cooke Cottage invites all outdoor enthusiasts to partake in miles of mountain biking, rollerblading, hiking, nature trails, cross country skiing, snow shoeing, disc golf, horse trails, fishing, snowboarding, downhill skiing, rock hounding, kayaking, paddle boarding, great photography and much more.
Our kitchen is supplied with any utensil you would need to cook a meal for your whole family or group.
We have a coffee pot that brews by the pot or uses k-pods. If you wish to cook outside we have a charcoal grill and freestanding grill for over the fire pit.
The cottage was freshly redone in 2024 including local nature art, Himalayan salt lamps, secondary lighting, essential oil diffusers and a zen nature vibe.
Our cottage does NOT have any cameras for you and your groups privacy.
