The Sunset Lodge in Escanaba, Michigan, is an absolute gem! This clean, family-run lodge exceeded all my expectations. The rooms are modern, comfortable, and well-maintained, with thoughtful updates that make the stay even more enjoyable. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. Woman who checked me in was very upbeat and made me feel very welcome! Best greeting I've gotten at a lodging in a long time. Gave me great directions and recommendations! Motel is older but nicely maintained.

Road trip stop

Perfect little place. Clean and conformable. Safe and for being on a main road, surprising quiet. Also, they work well with people arriving for a late check in. Would stay again!

My wife and I love the quaint and cozy atmosphere of this motel. We did find our room this time had more traffic noise and outside light effecting our sleep. In a previous stay in a different room, neither was an issue. We would stay there again though.

The property was clean and staff was good. The road noise was excessive and the trains were close enough that when they blew their whistle it would wake you up. And they blew their whistle many times during the night.

Front desk was very nice and welcoming. Room was clean and looked well-maintained. It was located in a quiet area and it really looked like the owners really care about the property conditions. Would definitely recommend to anyone, especially for families or dog owners.
