convenient location
If you have a car this is a very convenient spot to stay. It is close enough to enjoy what Epernay has to offer without having to compete for a parking space. It is a very quiet area and a great spot to base yourself if you are interested in exploring the vineyards and villages in the Champagne region. There is also a Lidl store just around the corner, within walking distance.

We had a lovely little stay. We stayed in a 2 person studio and it was just what we wanted. We are never in the room for long, just to basically get our head down and fuel up. It was in an excellent location which considering we never plan anything until we get to our hotel was really great! Questions we had, the manager and reception stuff did their very best to answer and accommodate with recommendations. The bed was one of the comfiest we have ever slept on.

I loved that it was a one-bedroom apartment that was fully equipped with all of the necessities. The entire apartment and building were spotless. The staff was accommodating and spoke English. The building also had laundry available. The only improvement I'd make was the bed. It was rather uncomfortable and low to the floor. Nonetheless, I would highly recommend this hotel.

Whilst a good walk out of Epernay town there was a bakery & supermarket a short walk away. Very well priced property & helpful staff. Sadly no champagne glasses in the room! A range of champagne to buy from reception should you run out!

Ok for what it was
Did the job... was a lot more weathered and tatty inside than we originally thought from photos. Worked for us with puppy. My main feedback was the equipment left for us to clean room was very dirty and there were no products to clean. But then they had posters demanding a full clean of the property at check out. In addition, there should be more sachets of washing up liquid.

Disappointing
We arrived on a very hot day. On approach exterior looked promising for a nice stay in epernay. Check in was seamless and friendly. However on arrival at our block it was clear to see we were in for an uncomfortable evening. Corridors were oppressive and smelt. The lift was worse smelling of body odour and urine. The first room we were given was on the ground floor and we asked to change as with no air con and no fan we would need to open windows for air for our young family and were not comfortable doing this from a security point of view. This was no problem at all to the host and we were changed to a second floor room. The second room was marginally better than the first which was clearly dirty I cleaned and the bath Panay was broken. While the second room was lighter and more airy, it felt slightly cleaner but the worn in dirt and grime was clear to see and I would not heave felt happy to use the kitchen/kettle/utensils etc. Location was ok with playpark out the back for the kids but surrounding area not great either. Aside from the champagne houses we do not see any reason to return to epernay itself

Cheap stay, there is a reason....
When we booked this we thought we had a gem for next to nothing as we found many good deals on our European trip with prices slashed due to low tourists. However the hotel isn’t as good as the photos. The building is grand and starting to show signs of needing some repair. The big issue is the huge list of rules that requires the tenant to effectively perform the cleaning for the next person. If we had known in advanced it’s unlikely we would have stayed, however during COVID with a family this was a problem. You are expected to strip the beds, take out the rubbish, clean all pots, toilets, shower, tables and surfaces, Mop and sweep the floors. This surprised us and explained that when we arrived why it felt poorly cleaned (think the people before did the basics), however the bigger issue is that they don’t provide washing up liquid, brushes or mops, luckily we were carrying surface cleaner, sponges and surface cleaner. This meant that we ended up cleaning everything when we arrived and when we left and we only stayed 2 nights. I comparison to some of the excellent approaches to cleanliness that we had witnessed around Europe on this trip, this hotel was a bit emabarrassing with

A very utilitarian stay. The rooms are functional, clean and devoid of any frills. We were in transit so the price was right. Great value for the price. Skip the breakfast as it is not worth it.

Our room has two beds in the upper level loft of the room. The floor of the upper level is in need of repair, the floor is not flat ! The picture of outside of this hotel is deceiving. The inside does NOT represent the same standard or impression at all. Once you go inside, you can see that many things in the hotel need repair or updating. The elevator was shaky, it "bounced" a couple of times when we were inside with three luggages. The construction materials are cheap: floor covering warping, sofa fabric fringing, old telephone connections not functional still on the walls. Also cleaning mops and sweeper and buckets placed in the bathroom.
