The house was perfect for what we needed. Location was incredible! Wish we weren't as busy and could have spent more time in the house.

Waste of money
It was advertised as air conditioning, it had 1 small 1 room unit. The first 2 days it was so hot and humid that some people went back home because couldn't sleep. The house had a really disgusting odor and the carpet was equally dirty. The first floor bathroom had water leaks and water was coming into hallway so when stepping the water squished up and the bottom of the wall was wet. There was numerous code violations #1 was blocked fire escape on 2nd floor. Called vacasa about the water leak and was told that maintenance would be out within 24hours. No one came .Called back 2 more times with no success. Really a total disaster family reunion.

Good for isolation, bad for going out to do things
This property is isolated, 30 minutes to nearest town and 1 hour from Bar Harbor. So, if you plan on doing things in Bar Harbor, stay closer. The house could have been cleaner, for example, the top of the coffee maker was covered in dust and the prior tenants left a garbage bag with lobster parts out back that animals got into and it smelled bad. Not sure why this wasn't cleaned up when the house was turned over between guests. We also had horrible water pressure and the hot water tank was leaking. We read previous comments about the hot water issues and when I asked I was told it was fixed. The number on the fridge for the property manager was not accurate and we had to call the main number to get someone to come out. It is very peaceful out there and we did enjoy that. The last time we stayed in Maine through VRBO the property mas managed by the owner and not Vacasa and there was a huge difference in the care of the property.

Maine Vacation 2022
Gorgeous views. Nice roomy home. The only reason the property did not receive a 5 “overall” was the very low water pressure in all the showers and that the hot water ran out quickly.

There was no hot water! The property managers were unable to help us before we left, so we either didn't bathe or took cold showers.

Terrific place for family and friends get-aways
Great house with it's own character and atmosphere. Just what we needed for our New Years for 4 families with kids. Everybody had room and things to do. Kitchen is big and convenient to cook for a big group of people. House is in good condition. Had to figure out the heat but found the thermostat in the second-floor bathroom and got the whole place warmed up quickly. Enough of sleeping places and bathrooms for 15 people. Linens, pillows, blankets and towels were provided. Parking for 4-5 cars near the house. Liked everything about this place. We even had a chance to skate one day on the lake while it was frozen. We all have had a great time in this place and are planning to check it out during the summer or fall. Thank you!

Comfortable and unique house
Gorgeous lake view, rustic, and funky decor ( loved the huge moose with hat) The kitchen was well equip, internet reception was good for those guests having to remote work. Only problem was low water pressure and dirt road access, but location is great for traveling around the region and very quiet.

Wonderful log cabin in remote area
The property aesthetic was spot on and very relaxing for our group after such a long year. There are in fact many mosquitos and the dirt road made it feel very isolated.

Excellent spot
Pictures don’t do this place justice. Scenery is awesome especially if you want a secluded setting. Great time hanging out by the water and taking out the small paddle boat. House was clean, had all the conveniences you would hope for, and very spacious. We had 9 adult men and had plenty of space. The grill is a little small for a house that sleeps 17 but we managed just fine. Overall couldn’t be happier with the location, house and overall experience.
